Chewy Double Chocolate Chip Cookies

Posted by Tweety Grams

Great recipe! I added 3/4 c butter and 1/2 c shortening in place of the margarine because I was out or margarine. Since my kids couldn't agree on chocolate cookies vs peanut butter, to prevent the disagreement from turning ugly, I used this recipe... — Jillster Sep 10, 2009

Crusting Cream Cheese Icing/Frosting

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Trixyinaz

This frosting is wonderful. It doesn't "melt" like other cream cheese frosting often does. I used it on sugar cookies and it spread easily and firmed up enough so the plastic wrap I used to cover the cookies didn't stick. It holds up really well. — Jillster Jul 16, 2009

Fairy Drops

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Kit_Kat

These are fabulous sugar cookies! I halved the almond and added a tsp of vanilla. They are so easy and look professional. Rolling them into balls is much faster than having to use a rolling pin and cookie cutter, as many other sugar cookie recipes... — Jillster Jun 5, 2009

Yummy Crunchy Caramel Apple Pie

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Wendy W88

Wonderful, delicious pie! I added 8 cups of Granny Smith apples, and increased the filling ingredients by a third. I Left the topping amounts as indicated. The sweetness of the topping combined with the tartness of the Granny's is a perfect match.... — Jillster Dec 7, 2008

Garlicky Tortellini, Spinach and Tomato Soup

Posted by Mirj

We love this recipe! Use all the garlic...it totally makes the soup. Maybe I'm crazy, but when I'm coming down with a cold, I eat this soup, and I swear the cold is gone the next morning. — Jillster Sep 24, 2008

Quick Soft Breadsticks

These were easy and turned out so good. They have a great texture and look like something you'd buy in a restaurant. Very soft and delicious the next day too. — Jillster Jun 30, 2008

Toffee Chocolate Squares

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by hollyberry

These are delicious! They are easy to make, and have just a few ingredients, but look and taste like you went to a ton of effort. I left off the toffee bits and only used about 1 1/2 C chocolate chips. I cooked the center much longer than... — Jillster May 8, 2008

Sour Cream Banana Bread

Posted by Charishma Ramchandani

Excellent! This is the best banana bread recipe I've tried. The only thing I did differently was melt the butter first, so I didn't have to get my mixer out to cream the butter. — Jillster Apr 15, 2008

Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Posted by Peach

I followed the recipe exactly and these cookies turned out great. They are very soft, not chewy, but still sturdy. My kids will not stop eating them. I froze half of the dough balls and then have been baking them a few at a time; otherwise my boys... — Jillster Jan 21, 2008

Raspberry Streusel Bars

Posted by V Ku'uipo V

These bars are tasty! The raspberry flavor is strong. I doubled the recipe and baked them in a 9 x 13" pan. I added half chocolate chips and half white chips, and omitted the almonds. — Jillster Dec 21, 2007

Fudge

Posted by Bruno Paluk

This fudge is very dense and creamy. It was beyond easy. I decided to add peppermint extract instead of the vanilla...unfortunately, I added way too much! I put in 1 1/2 tsp, and it is way too overpowering. — Jillster Dec 15, 2007

These are excellent. I have made several different recipes of Naan bread, and this was by far the easiest and most delicious. The bread is chewy and flavorful...I can't stop eating it! — Jillster Aug 24, 2007
