Triple Cheese Macaroni

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Dancer^

My God, this was the best mac and cheese I'd ever had!!! I am actually making it again today for a brunch after I served it for the first time on Sunday. I did substitute Cavatappi pasta for macaroni, as I've found that it holds up to cheese and... — spaceace Dec 25, 2002

I've got one thing to say... YUMMY! I made several this Christmas and gave them out to friends and neighbors. One of the recipes, I used lemon cake mix, pudding mix and juice instead of yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding and water and also subbed... — spaceace Dec 25, 2002

Turkey Giblet Gravy

(10 people found this helpful) Posted by Derf

I sauteed the giblets and vegetables before adding water to bring out the flavors, and discarded the giblets after the gravy was done instead of using it, but it turned out to be a rich, creamy gravy that everyone enjoyed! Great recipe! — spaceace Dec 25, 2002

Great recipe! Used it for a Holiday Brunch and was very easy to prepare. I did only use rum instead of bourbon and brandy. — spaceace Dec 25, 2002

SUPERB RECIPE! I subbed the tequila for a bit of red wine, and added lime zest and lime juice, cinnamon and a dash of Tabasco and it came out terrific! I'm making it again for Christmas... it's excellent to make a few days ahead of time — spaceace Dec 8, 2002

Oven BarBQue Country Pork (not)Ribs

Great recipe! I actually just used it as a base for my own idea... instead of using the marinade, I used my homemade BBQ sauce and instead of the Kosher salt, I used fleur de sel, an unrefined gourmet French salt. Turned out GREAT! — spaceace Nov 3, 2002

Spicy Chipotle Chili Mayonnaise

(4 people found this helpful) Posted by spatchcock

I first had a chipotle mayo at Panera that was very good, but this one beats theirs HANDS DOWN! I first used it on top of a turkey and provelone sandwich on a rosemary-onion foccacia, then during the annual Labor Day BBQ, I laid the container out... — spaceace Sep 2, 2002

Canadian Living Falafels With Tahini Sauce

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Lennie

As a die-hard falafel aficionado, I tried this recipe over the weekend. I found that although the outcome was very, very tasty, it took far too long to make. I will eat falafels 3+ times per week, so I typically buy a pre-mixed falafel powder... — spaceace Aug 5, 2002

Shrimp Cocktail

This is actually a very traditional adaptation of the ever-present coctel de camarones. It's actually great for the morning/afternoon after a night of hearty drinking, (in fact, we call it Mama's hangover cure) served with lime wedges, avacado... — spaceace Aug 5, 2002
