Tiramisu

Posted by DiB's

This is so easy and guests are always impressed! I drizzle some chocolate syrup or put chocolate curls on top to add more flavor. You do have to be careful not to dip the ladyfingers too long. — Willing To Try Anything Jul 10, 2009

Grandma's Chicken 'n' Dumpling Soup

Posted by Margo59

I made turkey dumpling soup with Thansgiving leftovers. Very good except that the dumplings were kind of boring...maybe they just needs some herbs or salt added to them? I don't know, I never made dumpling before! — Willing To Try Anything Dec 11, 2008

Italian Stuffed Acorn Squash-Crock Pot

Didn't really like it plus it seemed like A LOT of work just for two servings. — Willing To Try Anything Nov 26, 2008

Chocolate Chip Apple Cookies

Posted by LUv 2 BaKE

I had an upset stomach, but wanted some comfort food. These were perfect--not too heavy, but they certainly fit the requirements for sweet and chocolatey! I didn't have chocolate chips, so I melted semi-sweet baking squares. Also, I didn't feel... — Willing To Try Anything Oct 25, 2008

Horchata Frozen Yogurt

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Chef*Lee

This is awesome! So simple and a great way to use the non-fat yogurt without having the frozen yogurt freeze too hard after being in the freezer. — Willing To Try Anything Oct 22, 2008

Summer Salad With Quinoa

Posted by Katie In Miami

This dish was enjoyable and a good way to use lots of vegetables that were about to go to waste. However, it just didn't wow me, it was sort of bland and my fiancee and I tired of eating the default quantity before it was gone. — Willing To Try Anything Jul 29, 2008

Crock Pot Chicken W/ Black Beans and Cream Cheese...yum!

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Jen Santiago

Very good. For me, it needs some doctoring up — I added a can of green chiles, some hot sauce, drained some of the liquid and also left the top off for a bit. This recipe is so easy, though, that it's easy to modify to your own tastes! — Willing To Try Anything Apr 27, 2008

TVP and Cashew BBQ, Vegan Delight

Posted by Karyl Lee

I wanted to try cooking with TVP for the first time and found this recipe as a result. Great mix of flavors! Next time, I'll use less BBQ, but that's just personal preference. — Willing To Try Anything Apr 20, 2008

M&m Kahlua Cookies

Posted by KitchenManiac

Fantastic! I only had Reese's Pieces in the house, so used those and they turned out great! I'm not sure if I can taste the Kahlua or not, but they're really good anyway! I made a half recipe and got about 20 cookies. — Willing To Try Anything Apr 20, 2008

Aloo Matar

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by I Cook Therefore I Am

Fantastic and easy dish. Adding the frozen peas near the end keeps them nice and fresh, even better than at most Indian restaurants. I increased the amount of potatoes and didn't serve with rice. — Willing To Try Anything Apr 16, 2008

Apple Sausage Raisin Strata

Posted by Lorac

I'd heard of strata before but never tried it. The bread was kind of soggy, which was a little strange. Good mix of flavors, though! — Willing To Try Anything Oct 25, 2007

Guinness Brownies

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by Nat Da Brat

I've been raving about these brownies non-stop since I made them for St. Pat's day this year! Don't let the Guinness scare you away, you can't taste the beer at all. I did bake them for about 30 minutes and the skewer was still not clean, but they... — Willing To Try Anything Mar 21, 2007
