Breaded Southern Fried Pork Chops

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by MizzNezz

I used an egg wash, as suggested by another reviewer, and added breadcrumbs to the flour. These were a big hit with DH and the whole family. This is a good recipe to use for thicker chops, as thin ones may dry out. Very tasty. Thanks for posting CharleneMc Jan 20, 2009

Foolproof Giblet Gravy

Posted by Pinkytz

I made this today and my husband can't stop raving about it. I didn't have enough canned broth, so I used caldo, but in different flavors such as rib, tomato, vegitable, and also some chicken broth. I did not add the sliced neck and giblet back... — CharleneMc Nov 15, 2008

Turn Your Crock Pot Into a Smokehouse Chicken (Smoked Chicken)

Posted by ThatBobbieGirl

Great idea! This was so simple and turned out great! I threw some sliced garlic into the pot, and salted/peppered as some others have said to try. Also a good idea to add onion and 1/2 of a lemon. The whole house smelled like yummy smoked... — CharleneMc Nov 5, 2008

Chocolate Pumpkin Muffins

Posted by Kiiah

ok,for the recipe the way it is, I could only give 2-3 stars. It definately tastes "lowfat." I smothered the muffins in choco-peanut butter frosting, and they were better. The second time I used this recipe, I took the advice of some of the other... — CharleneMc Nov 5, 2008

Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas

Posted by Mysterygirl

Fabulous easy weeknight meal!!! I've made this with leftover carnitas, and with shredded chicken. I've used lowfat cheese and lowfat sour cream each time. Once, I didn't have quite enough sour cream on hand and added a little milk to the enchilada... — CharleneMc Nov 5, 2008

Crock Pot Pulled Pork

Posted by T. Woolfe

WOW...We all loved this one. All I had in my freezer was apple/rasberry juice, so I was worried, but it came out great. I also used liquid smoke instead of the mesquite powder. I jut drizzled some on each side before rubbing on the spices. We... — CharleneMc Nov 4, 2008

Southwestern Taco Pot Pie

DH really liked this one, and so did I! I made some changes. I used ground turkey instead of beef. I also used mainly reduced fat cheese. I added minced garlic to the cooked, drained meat. For the salsa, I used Salsa Verde. Next time I may add... — CharleneMc Feb 10, 2008

Sausage Pizza Pie

Very yummy. I made no changes to the recipe, except that we only had non-fat milk and I used sweet peppers instead of green (ok, a couple of changes). DH really liked it, and thought I put more work into it than I actually did. — CharleneMc Feb 3, 2008

Easy Cinnamon Rolls (Sticky Buns)

Posted by Lori Lee

These were fairly simple and tasty. It is important to line your pan with something, I used wax paper. I used "flaky layers" rolls. The instructions for this recipe were a little confusing. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to leave the rolls... — CharleneMc Feb 3, 2008

Meat and Cheese Foldovers

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Kree

I had to give this 5 stars because DH keeps asking me to make it again! I added garlic and some crushed red peppers to the meat, along with diced onions as recommended by another reviewer. I also used pepper-jack cheese slices. The BBQ sauce... — CharleneMc Jan 1, 2008

Creamy Burrito Casserole

Yummy! DH loved this and asked me to make it again! I took some of the others' suggestions and added Rotel to the soup mix, and garlic to the meat mix. I've made it twice now, once with cream of chicken, but we preferred the cream of mushroom... — CharleneMc Nov 21, 2007

Cheddar Potatoes and Onions

I've used this recipe twice now, and it came out great both times! DH liked it, but said to use less onions next time. I used reduced fat cheese. This was a simple and fast way to use baby potatoes. Thanks for posting! — CharleneMc Oct 17, 2007

Thanks for posting such an easy and tasty recipe. I also cut down on the salt, and used other spices and low-fat mayo and partly reduced-fat cheese. I used fresh garlic instead of powder. DH really enjoyed this dish. — CharleneMc Oct 17, 2007

Flaky Chicken Wraps

Very yummy! I took advice from one of the reviews and added a bit of cheese. I didn't flatten or pinch enough though, and most of them didn't stay closed when they baked up. — CharleneMc Oct 11, 2007

Polenta With Marinara and Meatballs

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Cem

This was NOT fun to make. The worst part was standing over the bubbling polenta for an hour and it still wasn't ready. The finished product did not come together right and the polenta was bland. I have a 3rd degree splash burn to remind me to... — CharleneMc Aug 3, 2007

Braciola - Braciole (Italian Stuffed Beef Rolls)

Posted by HollyGolightly
