Tanzanian Curried Chicken-Banana Soup

Posted by 1Steve

This was delicious! We followed the recipe except that we doubled the banana and used canned diced tomatoes. Good blend of spices, flavorful but not overpowering. We will definitely make this again! — Da Huz Sep 26, 2009

Golden Dragon Pad Thai

Posted by 1Steve

Very good, despite the fact that we were unable to find tamarind paste. The lady at our local Asian grocery didn't speak English and we couldn't find it on our own. We also left out the tofu. — Da Huz Aug 5, 2009

Curry Chicken Pot Pie

Yummy and easy to prepare. The curry flavor wasn't very strong, though. We'll probably double it next time. Personal preference. — Da Huz Jul 14, 2009

Raspberry Lemonade

Easy and tasty. This would be good with fresh raspberries, too, but they aren't always in season. — Da Huz Jul 10, 2009

Good flavor! A bit too much water for my taste, but that will be easily remedied the next time I make this. — Da Huz Jul 4, 2009

Khabeesa (Omani Breakfast Item)

Posted by windhorse23

This was delicious! We made it as a desert to go with our curried fish. I think next time I'd add more sugar and do only 2 tsp cardamom. Just personal preference. — Da Huz May 7, 2009

Omani Fish Curry

This was absolutely fantastic. Kind of a sweet curry taste. Yum! We used jalapenos instead of red chilies and left the seeds in. — Da Huz May 7, 2009

Chicken Thigh Saltimbocca

Posted by The C h e f;

I found this in my quest to include more bacon in my diet (bacon improves the flavor of everything, but not everything improves the flavor of bacon). I ended up having to simmer for 25 minutes in order to get the chicken cooked all the way... — Da Huz Apr 29, 2009

Chicken Orzo Skillet

Posted by Braunda

This was good. Next time I might cut back a bit on the stewed tomatoes, and I might put the beans in a bit later (personal preference - I like my beans a bit al dente). I'd use more broccoli, too. It added a lot to the dish, despite the skepticism... — Da Huz Mar 27, 2009

Chicken Goulash

This was tasty, filling, and healthy. We had some extra veggies that needed using - radishes, turnips, and daikon - but they did not seem to interfere with the flavor. — Da Huz Mar 25, 2009

Ribs With Plum Sauce

Posted by Baby Chevelle

These were fantastic! Nice and moist and juicy. We cooked them directly on a foil-lined baking sheet (covered in step 2 and uncovered in step 4). We'll definitely do this in the future, as I have never had spare ribs this tender and juicy. The... — Da Huz Mar 22, 2009

Crock Pot Chicken Vindaloo

Posted by najwa

I used a whole chicken and tripled the rest of the ingredients. Ate this over steamed rice and broccoli. Delicious! I might use a little less mustard seed next time... just a personal preference. — Da Huz Mar 21, 2009

Easy Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by * Pamela *

I'm not sure what we did wrong, but I ended up using about 1.5 times as much milk in order to get the noodles cooked all the way. And even on low, our crockpot burned the mac & cheese to the side of the pot. Good flavor, though! — Da Huz Mar 14, 2009

Gordon Ramsay's Tikka Masala

Posted by Noo

Yummy! I don't know if the brown sugar is authentic, but even if it is, I probably won't use it next time. We forgot the yogurt, and we ate it with fish rather than chicken, and it was still delicious! We at this and our fish on top of basmati rice. — Da Huz Feb 16, 2009

Spicy Sashimi Bowl (Hwe Deop Bap)

Posted by J. Ko

This was delicious, and looked fantastic too (most of my cooking tastes much better than it looks). We may have gotten the wrong chili paste, though... 1/4 of a teaspoon was quite hot, and I like to measure cayenne pepper by the tablespoon. — Da Huz Feb 11, 2009
