Caramel Popcorn (not too sweet or sticky)

Posted by ciao

Really good! I scattered roasted peanuts on top of the popcorn before pouring the caramel. Fairly easy to mix and tastes like Cracker Jack. But what happened to my prize in the bottom of the bowl? I didn't get one. lol! Thanks for posting- ~Sue — Sue L Oct 27, 2009

Jamaican BBQ Sauce

Posted by westtextazzy

This was delicious! As noted by other reviewers, it's a thinner sauce; the vinegar gives it a nice, zippy character. We had it on grilled chicken sprinkled with jerk seasoning, and it was great. Made by a Saucy Senorita for ZWT5. — Sue L Jun 13, 2009

Old Fashion Lemonade

Posted by Galley Wench

Great lemonade recipe! We used Splenda, which worked perfectly. Very refreshing! Just the right sweetness to balance the lemon. (Side note - Bill likes Bombay Sapphire gin when he spikes his lemonade; whatever works for you!) Made by a Saucy... — Sue L Jun 13, 2009

Painkiller

We used Cruzan Blackstrap Rum, since that was the only dark rum we had. It made the drink look like an iced coffee with milk, but it sure didn't taste like one! Very smooth and nicely balanced flavors. Wow, this is good! Made by a Saucy Senorita... — Sue L Jun 13, 2009

Mucho Gusto Taco Seasoning Mix

Posted by Pot Scrubber

This was great! We served this seasoning ground beef for tostados. We did add the extra onion flakes since it seemed apropos, and crushed beef bouillon cubes to use for beef bouillon powder. We like using home made seasoning mixes as we want to... — Sue L Jun 11, 2009

Betty Crocker Peanut Butter Cookies

Posted by tomsawyer

So very retro, these old-fashioned cookies embody the very definition of what peanut butter cookies should be. Excellent! They taste they same way they did when I made them 40 years ago. What else needs to be said? Thanks for sharing. Made for... — Sue L Jun 10, 2009

Hato Rey De Limon Cocktail

Posted by KateL

This definitely belongs in a martini glass, as it's got some serious alcohol punch! Great blend of coconut, lime & pineapple flavors. A refreshing change of pace and welcome addition to our selection of island/tropical cocktails. Made by a member... — Sue L Jun 5, 2009

Crock Pot Sausage & Peppers

Posted by BakinBaby

Yummy! I used all red bell peppers in mine since they came in a pack that way (without green or yellow). I used andouille sausage in place of the Italian sausage and added a little cajun spice as well. We served this on hoagie rolls as a sandwich.... — Sue L Jun 5, 2009

Grilled Cajun Corn

This was delicious! Had a wonderful grilled flavor that was slightly smoky, with the added flavor and a little heat from the spices and hot sauce (I used Tabasco). Made by a Saucy Senorita for ZWT5. — Sue L Jun 5, 2009

Deviled Potato Salad

Posted by Midwest Maven

Very yummy! I used creole mustard in mine as well as using cajun spice and adding some hard cooked egg (my preference). Was a little spicy with the Tabasco flavor coming through but we really loved it! Made by Saucy Senorita for ZWT5 — Sue L Jun 5, 2009

Brennan's Bananas Foster

Posted by momaphet

Delicious! So simple to make and is a nicely different topping for ice cream. The rum really doesn't need to cook as it will evaporate and then you won't get an ignite. Just remember to remove it from the burner before you add the rum and ignite... — Sue L Jun 5, 2009

Taco Seasoning Packet for the Frugal Home-Maker

Posted by Debber

This was really easy to make. Not too spicy, but what packaged taco seasoning is? Worked well in the recipe I prepared it for. It might be better with some salt, but for those looking to eliminate salt, this is great. Made by a Saucy Senorita for... — Sue L Jun 2, 2009

Lovely color and a perfect amount of tequila, but it was just a little too sweet for me made as written. I would definitely cut back on the sugar next time. Made by a Saucy Senorita for ZWT5. — Sue L Jun 2, 2009

Scrambled Eggs With Fines Herbes and Tomatoes

These were wonderful! At first glance, it seemed like the mustard might have a strong flavor, but it really is mild and blended with all the other herb/tomato flavors. The eggs were also soft and creamy, which was a delight. Made by a Saucy... — Sue L Jun 2, 2009

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato "fries"

Posted by Lauralie41

I loved the spices on these! Not hot, but nicely savory and if someone wants to kick it up, adding 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper should do the trick. I cooked my potatoes just a little longer to give them as much crispiness as they can get (sweet... — Sue L Jun 2, 2009

Jerked Shrimp With Melon Salsa

This was very tasty, and I think the shrimp could be served on their own as an appetizer! The salsa was deliciously different and mild, moreso than other fruit salsas I have had. Made by a Saucy Senorita for ZWT5. — Sue L Jun 2, 2009

Wow! This was GOOD!! No wait, strike that. This was AWESOME!!! I'd give this an infinity of stars if I could. Not much else to say except, if you don't have cream of coconut, don't torture your guests with your concoction. Coladas cannot be made... — Sue L Jun 1, 2009
