Cheese Ball Goblin (Paula Deen)

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by 2bizzy

I made this for our local Halloween party. The kids loved it. Next time I will take it out of the fridge a couple of hours before serving as it was very hard and broke the crackers. Thanks — Medussa Dec 26, 2006

" Not Your Every Day Chicken Salad" Chicken Salad

Posted by trulyabaker

Very nice. I used chicken thighs instead of breast as breast can be a little dry, which I cut into bite sized pieces and then fried then cooled. I used home made mayo (full fat). This was enjoyed by all at my luncheon. Thanks — Medussa Dec 26, 2006

Broccoli Salad

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Meg Fisher

This was a lovely salad. I used fresh bacon chopped and then fried then cooled. I also used fresh mandarins. I blanched the broccoli to bring out the vibrant green. I used a tablespoon of honey rather then the sugar. Everyone at my luncheon... — Medussa Dec 26, 2006

Pikelets

These pikelets were quite nice. I am still looking for the pikelet taste I grew up with. These were fluffier and much too sweet for me. — Medussa Nov 12, 2006

Mini Meat Loaves in the Microwave

Posted by Lysa

My family love these. They are like large meat balls. I omitted the breadcrumbs and milk. You don’t even need an egg. I tried these with spinach in them too, and the kids still loved them. I needed to turn the balls after the recommended 7... — Medussa Nov 12, 2006

Green Beans Algerian-Style

Posted by Cookgirl

The sauce in this recipe is absolutely delish. The beans however, were cold once in the bowl of ice water, so I couldn’t keep them warm as the recipe says. Next time instead of pouring the sauce over the beans I will put them in the pan with... — Medussa Nov 7, 2006

Fried Cabbage

The bacon combines very well with cabbage. This is a keeper and will be made whenever there is cabbage in the house. Thanks. — Medussa Nov 7, 2006

Butter Chicken

This was a simple delish dish. I used chicken thighs instead of breasts as I find thighs tastier and less dry then breast. One of my favourites! — Medussa Nov 4, 2006

Sweet Potato Fritters With Lemon Chicken

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Trinity_1966

This was really lovely and presented well too. The chicken breasts I used were quite thick and were completly raw inside with only 5 minutes cooking each side so I took them out of the pan and sliced them in half to make them thiner and cooked... — Medussa Nov 4, 2006

Arabian Cauliflower With Tahini

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Elmotoo

I liked this however my three kids did not (two of which dont like cauliflower anyway, it was an attempt to make it interesting for them). My first bite i thought it was odd, but by the fourth i liked it. Maybe if the kids gave it a good go they... — Medussa Nov 4, 2006
