Old-fashioned Linguine with White Clam Sauce

Posted by Maine-iac

Had this Friday and it was the best clam sauce I've tried so far. I was leery about the Old Bay Seasoning being of Italian descent. I never would have thought to use it. But it turned out delicious. Served with a salad and garlic bread. — Marich Oct 10, 2009

Crunchy Fried Shrimp

Posted by KS Farmwife

My family loved these! They weren't difficult to make. Soooo crunchy. Eat 'em fast cause they disappear quickly. Didn't change a thing. I always keep shrimp in the house for Scampi, use them with lots of pasta dishes so this was a nice change... — Marich Sep 3, 2009

Sunday Gravy

Posted by Richard-NYC

Hey Rich! I'm a Jersey-American-Italian and make the "gravy" every Sunday like clockwork. Your recipe is similar to mine. I sometimes brown some boneless pork butt cut into chunks for a different flavor. There's nothing like homemade "gravy"!... — Marich Aug 31, 2009

Hicham's Fabulous Beef

This was delicious! Made as directed with a few MINOR changes. I cooked it longer and had no fresh tomato on hand so used a few tablespoons of tomato paste. Wow! So much flavor. Served with couscous and a salad. Thank you and I will definitely... — Marich Aug 4, 2009

Chicken Caprese

Posted by KittyPendleton

I egged and breaded thin chicken cutlets, used fresh mozzerella and basil, added some olive oil and vinegar. This was excellent! Like the Caprese appetizer or bruschetta on top of the cutlet. Will make this often and suitable for company. Served... — Marich Jun 20, 2009

Southwestern Sunset Stew With Soft Polenta (Ww Core)

Posted by justcallmetoni

Absolutely loved this one. Had my doubts and almost overdid the cinnamon but it turned out great. I didn't change anything but next time I'll add parmesan to the polenta. Can't stop and Italian from cheesing up a dish. Thanks Toni — Marich May 1, 2009

Loved this and wanted more but it was GONE! I've sauted cabbage many times but never thought to add the potatoes. Like Irish Colcannon but better. Thanks...this will be used regularly. — Marich Apr 23, 2009

This was very good. I used boneless breasts cut into bite sized pieces but otherwise followed the recipe. The cooking time was cut down to 40 minutes. I served with rice and green beans. Thank you Miss Annie. — Marich Apr 13, 2009

Savoury Ricotta Snacks

These did not go over well with my family. I followed the recipe exactly but I think there was too much lemon zest for our taste. — Marich Mar 23, 2009

Chicken Feta Soup

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this simple soup turned out. I used chicken breast that were cut into bite sized pieces and simmered them in the chicken stock. The Feta cheese really stands out so I'd lighten up on that but otherwise it... — Marich Mar 12, 2009

Soprano's Pork Chops with Vinegar Peppers

Posted by DiB's

I agree with Chef Char. Being from NJ and of Italian descent, I know that this is not the authentic Ital/American version. We use thin pork chops and hot cherry peppers or regular vinegar peppers. My mouth is watering. You can cover the pan... — Marich Mar 3, 2009
