Amish Baked Chicken

Posted by Tina Klein

Added garlic powder as other reviewers did. The skin was a beautiful colour and very crispy just the way we like it. The chicken was very moist and the butter added a sweetness to it. A very rich recipe that will be made again. Thanks! — Night Owl Jul 2, 2009

I skipped the brining. Added a little extra lemon pepper seasoning & omitted the salt. The lemon pepper adds a vibrancy of flavour to a delicious roasted chicken & makes a wonderful tasting gravy. Thanks for posting! — Night Owl Feb 20, 2008

DD & her BF said this was just ok, I loved it. A true winter comfort food! Removed the skin before serving as I did not like the texture of it after it had simmered. Tasted even better the next day for lunch. Thanks! — Night Owl Jan 21, 2008
