Stromboli

Just made this last night, DH had never tried it but was excited because it sounded good to him. We weren't disappointed! I used regular Italian Sausage and it turned out absolutely delish! Thanks so much Susan for the keeper! carolinerenee May 11, 2006

Jack-in-the-Box Tacos

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Hey Jude

DH and I both liked these a lot, plus they were demolished by my son and a bunch of his friends. I did as another reviewer suggested and added a little bit of potato flake to the meat mixture. These will definitely be made again in our household... — carolinerenee Dec 17, 2005

Sake' Martini

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Merlot

Plum wine by itself has always been a little too sweet for me, but mixed with the Saki it gives it a good mix of flavor and tones down the sweetness just right. Be careful though because it packs a heck of a punch. Thanks for sharing this! — carolinerenee Dec 11, 2005

Stuffed Sopapillas

I finally got a chance to make these and they were fantastic! My DH and son totally pigged out and made me promise I would try to make them at least once a month. I made half with the taco and stuffing, the rest we put honey in like I used to... — carolinerenee Aug 23, 2005

Wheat and Milk Free Brownies

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by Marlitt

These were pretty good. Of course if your looking for it to taste just like regular brownies then you will be disappointed, but considering they are milk and wheat free, they definitely kept my cravings for cookies and brownies in check. Good... — carolinerenee Mar 24, 2005

This was really delicious, the only thing I did different was to cut the breasts into tenders and added tarragon to the dry ingredients. Thanks for the recipe, this is definitely a keeper in our house. — carolinerenee Jul 16, 2004

Todays Special (chicken With Swiss Cheese and Wine)

This was pretty good although it was a little different than our usual preferences. I topped it with sliced potatoes instead of stuffing since my husband doesn't like stuffing and added mushrooms sauteed in garlic and butter. Thanks! — carolinerenee Jul 2, 2004

Mom's Pot Roast

I made this in the crockpot and let it simmer for about 14 hours. I browned it first and then just stuck it and the rest of the ingredients in there. I thought it was very good, a little different but in a yummy way. I used regular apple cider... — carolinerenee Jun 29, 2004

My husband really liked this! I of course enjoyed it too, I added corn instead of peas though because neither he or my son like peas, I can't wait for my son to get back from camp so he can try this out too. Thanks — carolinerenee Jun 25, 2004

I made this without the black olives, I like them but my husband and son don't so next time I make it they have to let me make it with and they can just not eat it if they don't want to. It was delicious and is definitely a keeper. — carolinerenee Mar 29, 2004
