Best Ever Pumpkin Pie

Posted by ratherbeswimmin'

This recipe worked perfectly. I liked that it was a little thicker and spicier than some recipes. It's the one from now on! — RunnerMom Nov 26, 2009

Chocolate Ganache Frosting

Posted by DrGaellon

Very easy to make, and covered a 3 layer round cake. Not thickly or inbetween layers, but a thin beautiful gloss all over. I used semi-sweet chocolate, omitted the liquor and added a little vanilla extract (kids), and it was great. — RunnerMom Oct 29, 2009

Granny's Tea Cakes

Posted by ratherbeswimmin'

Really good. This is very similar to my grandmother's recipe, except hers used vanilla extract instead of almond. I substituted cake flour just for fun. They were tender and light. — RunnerMom Aug 30, 2009

Lemon Pie

Very easy, yummy pie. I would recommend tempering the eggs with the hot mixture first, before you pour in the egg yolks. Will fill a small pie crust, but not a larger sized crust. If you like sour, you could increase the lemon juice to 1/2 cup. — RunnerMom Jun 24, 2009

Rolled Chocolate Sugar Cookies

Posted by Karen=^..^=

This dough is easy to make, and to handle. Wrap it up in small individual segments to chill, and it will handle better. It has a mild chocolate flavor. I didn't add any sugar on top, instead dipping the cookies in tempered chocolate and they... — RunnerMom Feb 14, 2009

Chocolate Guinness Layer Cake

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by KITTENCAL

I made this cake for my husband's 40th birthday, and it was incredible! Very moist and rich! The batter fit into 4 8" cake pans, so I froze the extra after baking. You almost don't need frosting...It's our new birthday cake tradition. — RunnerMom Nov 10, 2007
