Tangy Tuna Salad Sandwiches

Posted by dicentra

Great tuna salad! I like how there is not much mayo, and lots of flavor from the giardinera (which by the way, I used the pre-minced giardinera relish - no chopping!). Going to try this with some leftover rotisserie chicken meat. — BerrySweet Nov 13, 2009

Ww Skinny Chimichangas

Posted by TeresaS

I use to have this cookbook and lost it, so thanks for posting this. Made it again (after 4+ years) and it was still good. Leftovers are great for lunch. Used whole wheat tortillas. — BerrySweet Sep 15, 2009

Cucumber-Papaya Salad

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Sharlene~W

Great! I shredded my papaya (instead of dicing) & added some green onions & carrot, omitting the lettuce leaves. This is a very mild papaya salad and is missing the pungent fish sauce that is normally present, but it is still good! Great summer dish! — BerrySweet May 31, 2009

Heart Healthy Harvest Pancakes

Great! I made it with raw yellow squash (pureed with half of the milk that the recipe calls for), then I added it to everything else with the rest of the milk. I thought these tasty healthy and good, hubby thought it needed a little sweetness... — BerrySweet May 31, 2009

Grilled Steak Soft Tacos

Posted by Sue L

(This review is for the marinade & cooking only). Left to marinade for 24 hours, and that gave it lots of flavor. Grilled to medium-rare and served on warm sprouted corn tortillas with grilled onion, guacamole & salsa. Perfect summer lunch! Will... — BerrySweet May 31, 2009

Strawberries Filled With Honeyed Yogurt

Excellent! So much better than whipped cream. Lots of flavor, a little tang/zip. Especially great if you have really fresh juicy red berries! Perfect spring dessert. I did not toast my almonds and it was fine. — BerrySweet Apr 29, 2009

Low Fat Pita Chips

Posted by Kozmic Blues

Perfect! I used coarse sea salt & garlic powder. My cookie sheet held 2 pitas. You will need at least 2 sheets if you make the full recipe. Very tasty... I like these much better than Stacy's Pita Chips. Thank you! — BerrySweet Apr 25, 2009

Sweet Potato Spread

Posted by KateL

Tasty. Like a creamy, cold, mashed sweet potato - only better. Left out the curry, and had to add about 1/2 cup water. This could be because I used a blender (which I don't recommend for this) and it was so dry/thick that it needed something to... — BerrySweet Apr 25, 2009

Made with frozen peaches & blueberries (instead of strawberries - no ice) and it was very tasty! Next time we have strawberries, I'll make it with that, too! — BerrySweet Apr 24, 2009

Yum-yum! Love the addition of extra crisp bacon, green onions & crisp cucumbers. I made these for tomorrow's lunch, but sampled some tonight and the taste combo is perfect! Hoping they hold up well until then! Update: Yes, these hold well for up... — BerrySweet Apr 11, 2009

Ugly Green Slime Detox Smoothie

I left out the cayenne, and cut the spinach amount in half. Very good, and the spinach flavor was subtle this way. Pretty tasty for such a simple combo. Would make again. — BerrySweet Apr 11, 2009

Chicken, Carrot, and Cucumber Salad

Posted by smellyvegetarian

Great chicken salad combo! The cilantro adds freshness while the radish adds crunch and is a welcome alternative to the traditional celery. We ate this rolled in whole wheat tortillas. — BerrySweet Apr 11, 2009

Easy Bacon-Wrapped Dates

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Dwynnie

This is a salty/sweet treat! The idea to partially cook the bacon is bery helpful. Also, I cut my bacon smaller so it only wraps around the date once or else it doesn't get cooked all the way and I like my bacon crisp. If you don't want to use the... — BerrySweet Apr 6, 2009

Weeknight Roasted Chicken & White Bean Pizza

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by aronsinvest

Really tasty weeknight pizza. The bean spread is so creamy and flavorful. I did add some crushed red pepper flakes in with the mixture. Next time I'd add some fresh garlic, too. Perhaps even some thinly sliced tomatoes in summer would work well,... — BerrySweet Apr 6, 2009

Veggie Loaf

Posted by Prose

Yes! I've been addicted to Amy's Veggie Loaf (in the frozen section) and this is a close approximation of that. The only thing missing is the "gravy" that Amy makes... which seems to be a tomato-based sauce. This takes a little while to prep, but... — BerrySweet Apr 6, 2009
