Walnut Brownie Energy Bites

Posted by dimply dots

These ARE super rich! I was going to post them bcz they're similar to choc. PB balls without the PB. I used carob instead of cocoa and rolled them into balls. It made about 20 balls and it was really good! Thanks for posting. Update: I tried... — WI Cheesehead Oct 19, 2009

Caramel Pancake Syrup

Posted by eCCAbOO

I wanted a syrup w/out corn syrup. I had to use Earth Balance margarine (dairy allergy) and needed it to thicken up a bit more (plus I didn't have much time). So I added an arrowroot/water mix to thicken it up. Went well on Carob Buckwheat Waffles or Pancakes (Gluten Free, Dairy Free). — WI Cheesehead Oct 18, 2009

Thick , Rich Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free Roux/White Sauce

Posted by BigFatMomma

This turned out well. I used some ground black bean flour I had and buckwheat. Also used beef broth and mixed it all with some ground turkey for a beef stroganoff type meal. Very good. Used all the spices, except dill, and added minced onion. — WI Cheesehead Oct 18, 2009

Tender Pot Roast

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Steve_G

Family loved this. I used a boneless roast and did up to step 10 in a skillet. Then transferred to a crockpot and added water (didn't need much). Cooked for 8.5 hours on low and came out tender and yummy. Saving the broth for beef stock. Will... — WI Cheesehead Oct 13, 2009

Lavender Vanilla Bath Salts

Posted by ~Rita~

I made 1/2 batch with 1 C epsom salts and 1 C kosher salt. Also used 2 T coconut oil and 2 T glycerin. I've tried the dried lavender b4, but it's a real mess in the tub. For fragrance, I used a lavender/peppermint/rosemary oil mix with a purple... — WI Cheesehead Oct 10, 2009

Gluten Free Pumpkin Pie Muffins

Posted by Elana's Pantry

Tried these today but used Penzey's Pumpkin Pie Spice. I doubled, but used 3 eggs, 1/2 tsp stevia, under 1/2 C honey, EVOO and added baking powder. Also used 15 oz can pumpkin. I baked them for 45 minutes and they probably needed another 5, but... — WI Cheesehead Oct 6, 2009

Blender Quiche - or the Whatever You Have in Your Kitchen Leftov

Posted by Tish

I made this vegan/gluten free with a white sauce for the cheese, Bob's Red Mill GF baking mix, 2 t dried parsley and shredded pork. Used 1/4 C EVOO, but I think it gave it a bit of a fishy taste, so will use another oil next time. I forgot the... — WI Cheesehead Oct 3, 2009

White Sauce (Gluten & Dairy free)

Posted by Cas

This sauce has potential. However, it needs more seasoning and it doesn't thicken up at all. I had to add arrowroot to get it to thicken. I wanted to use this as a sauce for a gluten/dairy free pizza. I added garlic/onion powders, nut. yeast,... — WI Cheesehead Oct 3, 2009

Gluten-Free Pizza Crust

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by GinnyP

Turned out pretty good, chewy. I don't know what the yeast actually does, since it doesn't rise at all... Anyways, I used buckwheat flour, guar gum, Pasta Sprinkle (no rye), brown sugar. It was pretty thick and sticky, so I oiled the rolling... — WI Cheesehead Oct 3, 2009

Breakfast Fruit Salad

Posted by Derf

I took your idea and ran with it. Apples, bananas, pineapple, mandarin oranges, walnuts, lime (sprinkled over fruit), yogurt, a little pineapple juice, vanilla and cardamom. I think it will go over well at the cookout. Thanks! — WI Cheesehead Sep 26, 2009

Gluten Free Bran Muffins

Posted by Elana's Pantry

This tastes pretty much like a bran muffin! I used a Bosch blender and it did leave some bits of dates, but it turned out okay. It rises well. I only used some sesame seed blended in (no sun. or raisins). These work well in the silicone pan,... — WI Cheesehead Sep 26, 2009

Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free Pancakes (Flapjacks)

Posted by Elana's Pantry

The only thing I changed was using honey. They were easy to mix up and tasted pretty good. However, they were so fragile that they burned on the skillet (under 350°) almost instantly and were impossible to flip over. Very thin. I think they... — WI Cheesehead Sep 26, 2009

This bread is awesome! Only change I made was using honey and coconut oil. So easy and comes out moist and light tasting. Everyone loved it. Thanks for posting (got it off your website first). — WI Cheesehead Sep 15, 2009

Season's Crock Pot Chicago Italian Beef Sandwiches

Posted by Hill Family

I was looking for a recipe w/out onions, garlic or tomato (allergies). I left out the garlic, used 1/8 tsp powdered bay leaf, 3 lb roast and broth. I also browned the roast on all sides first. Made a lovely broth that I am freezing for future... — WI Cheesehead Sep 10, 2009

Sweet Juice Sensation

Posted by JanuaryBride

I have a Jack Lalanne juicer. I used a small orange and 1/2 a small cantaloupe. I am NOT a grapefruit or cant. lover, but this turned out pretty good. It had a bit of a bitter flavor from the grapefruit (is that from not getting all the pith??)... — WI Cheesehead Sep 3, 2009

Riz Au Lait (French Rice Pudding)

Posted by *Bellinda*

Was asking for soft recipes for a friend who broke his jaw. Made on the recommendation of the chef. VERY easy to make, no sticking, no standing and adding stuff for 1/2 an hour! I had 1/2 C arborio, so made half a batch. Next time, the only... — WI Cheesehead Aug 29, 2009

Using up Leftovers Oven Eggs

Drunken Shrimp Style Quick Marinade
