Vegan Crepes

Posted by pollen

These turned out great! I left out the syrup and used about 2 tbs sugar, and 1/2 tbsp vanilla sugar, and also just used oil in place of margarine. I also used half whole wheat flour. I will make them again... — pavut Jul 27, 2008

Currant Squares

Posted by Marlitt

I made this after picking lots of blackcurrants and needing to find recipes for them. It was quite good, but I might reduce or leave out the lemon juice next time. It was VERY tart and acidic. Good overall, and I will try making it again! — pavut Jul 24, 2008

Quick, Easy and Spicy Peanut Sauce

Posted by Aioli_Queen

This was my first ever peanut sauce, and it was quite good, maybe even addictive! The first time, I just followed the recipe. The second time, I omitted the sugar and increased the soy sauce. Also, my chili sauce wasn't very hot, so I added... — pavut Apr 5, 2008

Karage Tofu

This was my first time preparing tofu, and it turned out great! I served it with fried soba noodles and bok choy, using the leftover marinade and a little sesame oil. It was great, and my 10 year old son especially loved it! — pavut Apr 5, 2008

Artichoke Pate

I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!! I love Artichokes, fresh parsley, garlic, and olive oil. I used canned artichoke hearts because they were much cheaper, and added some Italian seasoning, basil and freshly ground pepper. It was WONDERFUL!! — pavut Mar 12, 2008

Vegan Mayonnaise

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Dancer^

This is great! There is no vegan mayo available where I live, so this is just what I needed. I left out the syrup/nectar and used unsweetened soy milk, because I don't like sweet mayonnaise at all. It tastes mild and creamy. — pavut Feb 16, 2008

Sugar Free Banana Bread

(5 people found this helpful) Posted by AngAustinBrody

This is great banana bread! You can hardly believe that it has no added sugar! The only advice I have in making this is to blend the bananas plus all the wet ingredients together, it's easier. Also, soaking the raisins in boiled water... — pavut Jan 15, 2007

This is a great recipe. I have used canola oil in place of the butter, and I have been without brown sugar and substituted white, used artificial sweetener, etc. and it always turns out good! — pavut Oct 7, 2006
