Mom's Mincemeat Pie

Posted by Jennifer P.

This is a wonderfully easy pie. Couldn't find the jarred mincement so I used two packages of the 9 oz. Borden's None Such and made a 10". Have a customer who craves this once a year. Thanks. — SarikaKisSzentem Oct 22, 2009

Southern Fried Chicken (Look out Kfc!l) (Paula Deen)

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by Sharlene~W

Have to admit this chicken is the best I've ever made or had and in my line of business I've tried a lot of recipes. The only thing different is that I marinate the chicken in salt water brine for a couple of hours. Other than that I followed... — SarikaKisSzentem Sep 28, 2009

Emily's Rockin Bagels

Posted by Girl in Uruguay

As a caterer I've seen many recipes for Bagels but this one tops 'em all. I used a food processor to mix the dough. Did not change one ingredient. They are easy to make and doesn't make a mess. They can't be beat! — SarikaKisSzentem Sep 17, 2009

Cream Custard Cake Filling

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Molly53

Excellent, excellent, excellent. I used the flour instead of cornstarch and the 8 egg yolks instead of four whole eggs. I added two more tablespoons of flour. You have to watch the custard closely and stir constantly. But it is worth it. I use... — SarikaKisSzentem Sep 6, 2009

Simple Pizza Sauce

Posted by ratherbeswimmin'

Simple is always best! I found that 6 in 1 ground tomatoes are very good. No citric acid. If you like onions on your pizza; early in the day finely dice about 1/2 cup and sprinkle raw on top of sauce. Onions have a strong odor when first cut... — SarikaKisSzentem Sep 4, 2009

Chi Chi's Seafood Enchilada/Cancun

Posted by KingJackQueen

Thought I found the best but this is by far excellent. As a caterer I'm always looking for something different to serve. This is so so good as appetizers. Would have given this a 10 star rating if it were possible. — SarikaKisSzentem Apr 28, 2009

Chili Con Carne With Beans

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Marty Hugo

As a caterer I come across many different recipes. This recipe, by far, led the pack. I didn't change one ingredient ; however. I did use home canned tomatoes. Would recommend this to anyone. — SarikaKisSzentem Sep 23, 2008

Lebanese Potato Salad

Posted by luvinlif2k

As a caterer I've never prepared Lebanese cuisine. However, I recently had occasion to cater a Mother's Day luncheon and was asked to prepare a Lebanese Potato Salad. Needless to say, it was a huge hit. I was told it was exactly the way "Mom... — SarikaKisSzentem May 19, 2008

Cannoli

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Kim D.

Been a bakery owner a long time and found this recipe to be wonderfully easy and flaky. Best to use a canola oil and fresh at that. I mix the ingredients in a food processor and did have to add a bit more wine. Depends on the flour also. — SarikaKisSzentem Oct 9, 2007

Chicken Cacciatore

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by Grace32

Since I'm a caterer, I've come across many recipes for this dish and I've chosen to use this minus the zucchini and mushrooms and increased the amount of ingredients for the sauce. I also use boneless chicken breasts, but reduce the cooking time.... — SarikaKisSzentem May 24, 2007

Delicious Chicken Pot Pie

Posted by alc47

The only thing different I did was to eliminate the dairy product and used ALL chicken broth. I'm told that the dairy product is absorbed too much to retain it's gravy's consistency. — SarikaKisSzentem Dec 3, 2006

Cake Doughnuts

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by MaeEast

This was very easy to work with. I added 1 tsp. of nutmeg. Perhaps some tried to make this from regular mashed potatoes. I assumed that it was just cooked and mashed with no added ingredients. Therefore it was easy to handle. Would make this... — SarikaKisSzentem Aug 29, 2006
