Baba Ghannouj (Smoked Eggplant (Aubergine) Puree)

Posted by Chrissyo

Thank you so much! This is just wonderful...tastes exactly like the BEST I've eaten in a great Brooklyn restrauant. It will be forever on my 'list' of good things to make. Merci Chrissy Gingerbee — Gingerbee Jul 8, 2003

Fudgy Brownies

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by troyh

Easy to make; approximately 10 min. to prepare and 30 min. to cook. I used pecans instead of walnuts and found these to be chewy and very tasty. Don't forget the wax paper as I did; they're hard to remove from pan even when greased and floured. — Gingerbee Feb 5, 2003

Branston Pickle

(5 people found this helpful) Posted by Mille® ™

I had a jar of Branston's in the cupboard so I decided to try this recipe. It is a long preparation process but worth every minute for the results. I did change this around a bit by cutting back on the sugar; eliminating the zucchini, mustard... — Gingerbee Jan 2, 2003

Blueberry Surprise French Toast Casserole

Posted by yooper

This was a hit on Christmas morning. I used an italian panetone bread I had instead of white bread. It was extra delicious because the bread had a few raisins and a nice taste on it's own. My cream cheese cubes didn't melt as I thought they... — Gingerbee Dec 30, 2002

No Crust Zucchini Pie

Posted by Gingerbee

You're absolutely right Tata...There is a mistake in this recipe because it should be in a 9" round pie plate. But I have made it in a rectangle when I used it as appetizers when you want it thin. I then cut it into approx. 1-1/2" squares,... — Gingerbee Apr 24, 2002

German Style Hot Chicken Cabbage Slaw

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by Mini R.

I've first had learned of this dish from Weight Watchers around 1973 (called something else) and made it over and over again. We substituted Sweet & Low for the sugar, but everything else is the same. As you can see, it's really low in calories... — Gingerbee Mar 8, 2002
