Minado's Perfect Sushi Rice

Posted by BirdyBaker

This was a very good recipe. easy to follow and with good results. Unfortunately I burned the rice a little on the bottom (I have a fussy electric stove) so it tasted a little nutty. I tried the sauce all by itself, wow I could put that on ice cream. — KookieMomster Feb 22, 2008

Quinoa Pudding

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by justcallmetoni

This came out more like a corn bread than a pudding. If I were to make it again I would increase the amount of the liquid ingredients, I would probably add 1 egg and 1/2 cup of cream. My youngest 2 kids really liked it s is. — KookieMomster Jan 18, 2008

Kasha Salad (Good Hot or Cold!)

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Oregongirl45420

I made just this the other night, I doubled the amount and added 1 cup of finely diced carrots. We had it as a main course and loved it. I was going to post my own, but you beat me to it! I recommend this to people who think they don't like trying... — KookieMomster Jan 9, 2008

Vegetarian Fajitas

Posted by Charishma Ramchandani

This was a nice meal, we added cheese, salsa, diced roasted tomatoes and sour cream. We had no leftovers, which is rare. — KookieMomster Jan 5, 2008

Vegetarian Fusilli

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Bergy

This was so easy and delicious. I did cut down on the cheese a little to reduce the fat, but the other stats are great, and that is important to me in a vegetarian dish. I froze half for another day. Thank you for posting this, even my picky eater... — KookieMomster Jan 5, 2008

Moroccan Vegetable Stew With Couscous

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Annacia

This was easy to make, delicious and filling. The kids liked it too. Be sure that the stew cools a little and that the squash is bite sized, it stays rocket hot for a long time. — KookieMomster Dec 31, 2007

Tofu Loaf

This was lacking something, it was very soft and the texture took away from the flavor's appeal. — KookieMomster Dec 30, 2007

Three Layer Holiday Jello

My mother uses a similar recipe that has mayo, pineapple, mini marshmallows and lemon jello in the middle, very good. Thank you for submitting this. — KookieMomster Dec 12, 2007

Tofu Stir Fry

Posted by Sara Weyland

We enjoyed this dish, but it was very soft and lacked that certain something. I plan to try adding more crunchy things next time I make it. — KookieMomster Dec 9, 2007

Cream of Chicken Stew

Posted by Amy Duchesne

This was very easy and quick. I used boneless skinless thighs and they were super easy to dice up. It was a little bland and we all added more spices when it was done. — KookieMomster Dec 9, 2007

Whisky (Or Bourbon) Baked Sweet Potatoes (Or Yams)

Posted by ~TigerJo~

I loved this recipe. The kids couldn't get enough. I used chili powder instead of nutmeg because we didn't have any. It was fantastic, and added a slight zip to this sweet dish. — KookieMomster Dec 9, 2007

Mashed Rutabaga (Yellow Turnip or Swede) and Potato

Posted by Engrossed

This is exactly how my aunt makes Rutmus. I think this may be a better version than the one I submitted. If you like mashed cauliflower you should try this too. — KookieMomster Nov 27, 2007

Risotto

Posted by Jax Carcache

This was very simple, and the instructions helped a lot. It made a nice side dish with BBQ ribs and a fresh salad. I will be sure to try more complicated versions now that I am comfortable with this one, and I will make this one again because... — KookieMomster Nov 26, 2007

My Easy Cure to an Oncoming Cough and Cold

Posted by Charishma Ramchandani

Old fashioned but still fantastic. This is also a good way to treat canker sores, bleeding gums (especially durring pregnancy) and tooth aches if you have to wait to be seen by the dentist. My doctor recomends using iodized salt and adding a drop... — KookieMomster Jan 26, 2006

Arroz Con Pollo

This was very easy to make, and looked and smelled really great. The rice came out like risoto-but it was very bland. Next time I think I will add more garlic, salt and hot pepper. Maybe some orregano too. — KookieMomster Dec 18, 2005

Cranberry Pork In the Pot

Posted by Lorac

This is quite yummy, and so easy. I added 1/2 cup chicken stock when it was cooking because the jelly wouldn't melt and the meat was getting a little dry (which I blame on the stubborn jelly). — KookieMomster Dec 13, 2005

BBQ Joes

Posted by Lisa in Oregon

I made this with Dinosaur Barbecue Sauce, and dried minced garlic and a pinch of salt since I didn't have any garlic salt. I cooked it in a wok, which made draining the extra grease with a turkey baster very easy. My only problem is that there was... — KookieMomster Dec 12, 2005
