Crab Omelet

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by Mille® ™

This is quite good. I tried it with left-over sole and I put in a little chopped shrimp just for good measure. I think this recipe lends itself well to just about any mild-flavoured fish or shellfish. — Napoleon XIV Mar 18, 2002

I did the British thing and poured some Bisto gravy over the cooked sausages. This was a hit at the Sunday breakfast table. — Napoleon XIV Feb 12, 2002

I don't like salmon, so I used canned crab meat. Very nice taste. — Napoleon XIV Feb 12, 2002

Although the recipe name was a little off-putting, I tried it anyway and it was very good. I did add just a little cumin, only because I love cumin. — Napoleon XIV Feb 12, 2002

What a nice, light, side veggie. I used frozen beans and cut the recipe in half, and it still turned out great. — Napoleon XIV Feb 6, 2002

Very nice spuds. I had no broccoli, so I subbed green peppers. Served this along with BBQ chicken and Dorothy Parks' peas & onion au gratin. — Napoleon XIV Feb 6, 2002

All Day Beef Stew

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by Mille® ™

What an easy recipe! I used canned diced tomatoes, just so that everything would be "bite-size". The meat was incredibly tender. I had never tried a crockpot stew recipe before, but I will definitely make this again. — Napoleon XIV Feb 5, 2002

This cake is not as sicky-sweet as some chocolate cakes I have tried. The beer adds a very nice twist to the taste. — Napoleon XIV Feb 4, 2002

Vermont Salad Dressing

I don't believe I have ever had a dressing with maple in it before. This is a very nice change from French, Catalina, etc. I even drizzled some on a deli cold cut sub! — Napoleon XIV Feb 4, 2002

Great way to use up leftover roast beef, also. I will definitely make this again with other leftovers. By the way - the fried tortillas are very tasty just on their own, or dipped in salsa! — Napoleon XIV Feb 4, 2002

I jazzed this up just a little with some onion powder and Tabasco sauce. Took it to a potluck lunch at the office, and it did not last long. — Napoleon XIV Jan 25, 2002
