Michele's (Asparagus, Bacon, or Salmon) Crustless Quiche

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by A Good Thing

Real good and real easy! I've made it a couple times with canned asparagus which was best. Bacon version was good too though. I beat some of the milk with the flour, then add the rest of the milk, then the egg, cheese, butter, etc. Baking some... — cheryl Apr 6, 2008

Eggs With Cheese and Olive Oil

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Sharon123

I used Omega Plus oil which is olive, avocado, and flaxseed oil. I used quite a bit for just one egg, and a generous sprinkling of parmesan. Easy and quite tasty! — cheryl Jan 13, 2007

Spaghetti Pie

Posted by Holiday

This sounded different- adding cheddar to the crust layer-so I tried it. Used butter and homemade pasta sauce. Chopped a large onion and put 1/2 in the sauce, the other 1/2 on top below the parmesan. Very tasty. Leftovers were kind of dry, but... — cheryl Jan 9, 2007

Split Pea Soup (Crock Pot) - Dairy Free

Posted by Chelle_N

I used dried yellow mung beans instead of split peas. They mushed up on their own after 8 hours in the crockpot and made a delicious thick broth. Yummy and healthy; can't beat that! — cheryl Dec 3, 2006

Ramen Noodle Egg Foo Yung

This was very tasty for something that's easy, quick, and cheap to make. I also added a little soy sauce to the beaten egg. Next time will try adding some meat and/or veggies. — cheryl Aug 13, 2006

Easy Foil Bbq Potatoes

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Derf

I followed suggestions of other reviewers and added extra seasoning. Make extra if you have the potatoes; leftovers were very good the next day for hash. — cheryl Jun 5, 2006

Steak with Blue Cheese Butter

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Karen From Colorado

Yum! I used Lobel's Guide to Grilling The Perfect Steak to grill the steaks, and added extra garlic. This recipe does make a lot, but it has a lot of uses; try on veggies, bread, etc. I may try some as a substitute for butter in an ABM recipe. — cheryl Jun 5, 2006

Lobel's Guide to Grilling The Perfect Steak

Posted by yooper

I used this technique for sirloins and topped it with blue cheese butter. (Steak with Blue Cheese Butter) Tender and delicious! The steaks were large so there was some left over, which was good the next day sliced thin for a sandwich. — cheryl Jun 5, 2006

Bread Machine Dog Biscuits

~~~Tail wagging good~~~ Made it easy using the bread machine. I subbed 8 grain cereal for the bran and bulgur and added some beef. Rolled it out on a foil-lined jelly roll pan and scored before baking to make rectangles. Kind of soft, but I... — cheryl Mar 4, 2006
Cold and Flu Clean Air Brew
(1 person found this helpful) Posted by ~SwoR~
Don't know what it does to little viral critters...but it smells great! Anything that cheers you up when you feel crappy is probably helpful. I added some clove oil, lemon extract, and an old package of hot cider mix. (Finally a use for it...)... — cheryl Jan 17, 2006
I didn't use all the ingredients listed, so it would be hard for me to rate this fairly. Author did not like my no rating comment and e-mailed me accordingly. I asked our host (Recipezaar) if a comment could be retracted. They replied that it... — cheryl Nov 29, 2005
Onion Salad
(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Kim D.
Very tasty. I did wonder where all the liquid came from. Don't be dumb like me and use a 5 lb bag of flour for a weight. (it was sitting there handy...) The bowl was chock full of onions with maybe an inch of vinegar mix. Next thing I knew,... — cheryl Oct 17, 2005
Flea trap
A thread at Thriftyfun.com recommends this along with finely ground salt. Sprinkle the salt on the floor and vacuum up in a few days. Repeat as necessary. I've been using beneficial nematodes for the yard, insect growth regulator for the... — cheryl Jul 25, 2005
The Best Moussaka!
Yum! Top got a little too brown in an hour, but still delicious. I substituted Italian sausage for the meat. Used several small tomatoes instead of the tomato sauce. Used 3 Japanese type eggplant, tossed in olive oil and baked. The potato... — cheryl Oct 3, 2004
Moussaka
Yum! I used ground beef also. Reduced the wine and added 2 chopped garden tomatoes. Used a little 5-spice powder in place of the cinnamon. Was afraid the topping would overflow the dish, so I halved the custard recipe. It still had a good thick... — cheryl Aug 22, 2004
Eggplant (Aubergine) Parmesan
(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Gingerbear
Delicious and easy, since the eggplant isn't fried first. I used crushed stuffing mix instead of crackers to reduce the sodium. Baked it for about 15 minutes before adding hot, fresh made tomato sauce. — cheryl Aug 8, 2004
