MAG's Extra Special Extra Delicious Candied Pecans

Posted by Kimke

Oh my goodness, I just can't stay out of these. I added just a touch of vanilla flavoring to the egg whites and used part pecans, part walnuts. These taste soooo good! I'll make these often. Next time, I think I'll use parchment paper for... — JPerez Oct 24, 2009

Steak Marinade

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by LuuvBunny

Very good marinade. I added about 1/4 cup of Coke to the ingredients and only marinaded our steaks for about an hour. They were extremely tender and tasty. The marinade didn't overpower the beef. — JPerez Oct 11, 2009

Crispy Tilapia

Posted by ~Rita~

I'm not a fish lover, but have been trying to eat healthier so I gave this a try. Very good! Nice, crispy texture. I didn't have Old Bay, so I added just a little cayenne pepper, garlic, and cajun seasoning. I fried the tilapia a few minutes... — JPerez Sep 25, 2009

Watermelon Margarita

Posted by Sue L

I followed the recipe, but added 1/2 ounce of watermelon schnapps. This doesn't taste strong so it's easy to forget it's an adult drink! — JPerez Sep 25, 2009

The Best Apple Pie Muffins Ever

Posted by Dotty2

Very tasty, but I had a difficult time with the topping. Next time, I won't melt the butter so that it's more like a crumb topping. With the melted butter, the topping was impossible to spread evenly and it sunk into the muffins. Still tasted... — JPerez Sep 21, 2009

Homemade Canned Pizza Sauce

Posted by southern chef in louisiana

Excellent sauce! I had so many tomatoes from my garden that ripened all at once. This recipe helped me use them. I didn't bother peeling the tomatoes; I just cut the tops off, squeezed some juice out and chopped them into large pieces before... — JPerez Sep 16, 2009

Spinach Garlic Soup

Wow! What great, deep green color. I love healthy foods that taste good and this recipe fits easily into that category. I subbed whole milk for the heavy cream and reduced the butter by half with great results. (Good thing because I'm eating this... — JPerez Sep 5, 2009

Mini Maple Cinnamon Rolls

I've made these a dozen times now - they're wonderful. I don't make mine very mini in size, though. I usually add a tsp of maple flavoring to the dough and icing. — JPerez Aug 21, 2009

We're not a vegan family by any stretch, but these are delish! I taste tested while still warm, and I think I'll sprinkle powdered sugar on top after it cools. I added a couple TBSP of applesauce. — JPerez Jul 20, 2009
