Banana Banana Bread

Posted by Shelley Albeluhn

Incredible. Thanks for sharing. I made a double batch for two loaves and it turned out perfect. The kids ate it in their lunches instead of sandwhiches. Yummmm. — Laurie of Anthem Oct 26, 2006

Pineapple Fried Rice from Cooked (Leftover) Rice and Chicken

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Charishma Ramchandani

Yeah, a side dish all the kids ate! Lightly sweet, went well with teriyaki chicken. Didn't use cashews or chicken (as it was a side dish for chicken). I added the eggs and corn. Different taste, but a nice change. — Laurie of Anthem Sep 28, 2005

I too have her cookbook. This recipe is really good. I add a bit more water to the meat. The corn in it is actually Mexican corn. Thanks for posting. — Laurie of Anthem Mar 10, 2005

Copycat Chili's Grilled Baby Back Ribs

Wow! Incredible ribs. You don't understand. I nearly gave up on trying to make ribs until this recipe came along. Tender, really do fall off the bone! Sauce was kind of thin, but tangy. Will use less water next time. Thanks again. — Laurie of Anthem Jul 19, 2004

These are really good candies. My 10-yr-old daughter makes them by HERSELF every Christmas. That's a bonus in itself! We put them on cookie trays and everyone loves them. Melt in your mouth! — Laurie of Anthem Feb 20, 2004

This was soooo good! It seems too simple to have any flavor, but it is wonderful. I served it with cornbread. Husband and all three kids actually liked it. Will make again, definitely. — Laurie of Anthem Feb 19, 2004

I also followed it exactly. After the final 45 minutes of cooking the meat was only at 135 (6 lb). I actually kept it in checking the temp. every 20 minutes. After an extra hour it was at 155, and amazing! — Laurie of Anthem Jan 6, 2004

Strawberry Bread

Posted by Miss Erin

Very easy to do. My husband says it's very much like banana bread, only a light strawberry flavor instead. I used fresh strawberries also. Not too sweet. Great with coffee. And the kids love it. Thanks. — Laurie of Anthem Aug 25, 2003

Erin's Scalloped Potatoes and Ham

Posted by Miss Erin

Soooo good!! Thank you. I took "William"'s advice and did the 12 oz. evap. milk with 12 oz. 2%, then added 1/4 C. more milk. Also doubled the ham. Mixed the cheese in before baking (wasn't sure when to add it). Actually ate the small amount... — Laurie of Anthem May 7, 2003

Wow!! The kids all loved it. The high fat content discouraged me at first, so I cut down the crm. cheese, took out the egg yolks and used margarine. This was very flavorful. Thanks!! — Laurie of Anthem Jan 10, 2003

Thank you Dorothy once again. (I've also made your Marzipan bars.) This is the first time I have made a cake with plums, and let me just say that even my 5-yr-old boy loved it. Easy to make, and I even added an extra plum! Very impressive.... — Laurie of Anthem Aug 5, 2002
