Amaretto Sour Cream Strawberries

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by -Sheri-

This was pretty good, but a very stong amaretto taste (which I normally love) - next time I may reduce it to two tablespoons. I wouldn't say it was a hit at my party, but my husband loved it! — Blon-Dish Nov 29, 2006

Awesome cake!!! Everybody loved it and the presentation was beautiful!!! I put gummy worms throughout and put in fake flowers with gummy worms hanging off...very impressive. On top of that, it was delicious and both the kids and the adults... — Blon-Dish Nov 29, 2006

Festive Tortilla Roll Ups

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by cfletcher

These were a hit! The mixture filled a lot more than 4 tortillas! I refrigerated them overnight, and the only downside was that they were a bit soggy - still yummy!!! — Blon-Dish Nov 29, 2006

Moroccan Meatballs -- Tagine Kefta

Posted by Sackville

Really yummy - got great compliments on this recipe! I may peel the tomatoes next time; they didn't taste bad; however, they just sort of floated around the top of the sauce. I will definitely make this again! — Blon-Dish Nov 29, 2006

Caramelized Butternut Squash

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Pianolady

These were delicious and so sweet that my children thought they were sweet potatoes! The hardest part was peeling the squash - holy cow what a chore! I served with a roasted pork - nice flavors together! — Blon-Dish Nov 25, 2006

Easy Crock Pot Pork Roast With Cranberries

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by KITTENCAL

Very nice flavors and it literally took me all of 5 minutes to put everything in the crockpot. Next time I may choose a different cut of meat - the pork shoulder was very fatty (not my taste when it comes to meat) - overall, yummy! — Blon-Dish Nov 25, 2006

Spinach Balls

Posted by Jamie Renee

I thought these were so delicious! They do sort of taste like "spinach stuffing"; I added one whole red onion (instead of two small onions), and this gave it an extra zing! Really good - I will definitely make them again! — Blon-Dish Oct 24, 2006

No-Beat Popovers

What a great, little recipe - so easy to quickly mix up the ingredients, throw it in the oven and get the rest of your breakfast together (we had it with scrambled eggs with ham and cheese). These were delicious with fresh, real butter and... — Blon-Dish Oct 23, 2006

Crock Pot Stifado

This recipe was delish! Very easy to put all of the ingredients and the addition of the feta cheese at the end made it so yummy. Note: I used jarred pasta sauce in lieu of plain tomato sauce as it was all I had on hand. I thought it might be a... — Blon-Dish Oct 23, 2006

I also found this recipe in a magazine. This is definitely one of my stand-by, easy week night dinners - I probably make at least once a month. It's delcious and so simple to quickly throw together - serve with a good mustard on the side just to... — Blon-Dish Oct 19, 2006

Mexican Meatballs

The meatballs are delicious and perfect for parties. The addition of the chipotle chiles gives it some smokey spiciness that makes it not your ordianary meatball recipe - definately a keeper!!! PS - Because they are a bit on the spicy side, be... — Blon-Dish Oct 18, 2006

Island Kielbasa

Maybe it's not fair to give this recipe only three stars, but I wasn't thrilled - it was VERY sweet, even with the addition of some onions and peppers to tone it down a bit. I will say that my husband and kids seemed to like it. Be sure to cook... — Blon-Dish Oct 18, 2006

Green Cilantro Rice

Posted by Laura Lee in Texas

My family LOVED this rice. I had never "baked" rice before (I usually cook it in a rice cooker) and it was surprisingly easy. I was worried it was a bit too mushy (cooked it for about 5 minutes longer than required). As with most rices, it... — Blon-Dish Oct 16, 2006

German Plum Cake

This was surprisingly excellent; I was impressed at how easy it was to make this dessert. The only thing that didn't come out quite right was the topping - it looked a little too doughy and didn't cook up to be golden brown. Next time I will... — Blon-Dish Oct 16, 2006

Chipotle Roast for Tacos & Sandwiches

This is one of the BEST crockpot recipes I've ever made - it did not have that usual mushy overcooked crockpot taste. It was moist and flavorful and I was able to quickly shred the meat in about 5 minutes. I served with warmed flour tortillas,... — Blon-Dish Oct 16, 2006

Cinnamon Whipped Cream

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by MelanieV

Really yummy and easy - the cinnamon taste is very subtle. I followed the tip regarding the damp paper towel with vinegar, and putting the bowl and beaters in the freezer - they whipped up no problem! No more Cool Whip for me! — Blon-Dish Oct 14, 2006
