Best Cheesecake Ever

Posted by Joseph Stiebler Jr.

I had to throw out the first crust since it was burnt. Perhaps my oven heats better than most-? On the second attempt I lowered the temperature to 350 to bake the crust. The cheesecake is wonderful, hence the 5 stars. — Michele7 May 21, 2007

Swiss Steak Salsa

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Recipewrestler

I made this for a halftime dish during the Sunday football games. I doubled the recipe and used two jars of "hot" salsa for the manly men in our group! I cooked for an additional 25 minutes after adding the rice instead of 20 minutes since it... — Michele7 Nov 8, 2005

Baked Chicken Parmesan ( Without Tomato Sauce )

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by peachez

This is the second time I have made this recipe. I am still not sure if I did what was intended with the butter. I melted it and added it to the egg/pepper sauce mix. The first time I thought the chicken would be "spicy" just because of the... — Michele7 Nov 1, 2004

Veal Piccata

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Derf

I know this recipe was from Cooking Light but I used 1 tablespoon of olive oil instead of 1 teaspoon. Maybe someone else could have made it work but I was uncomfortable with so little oil vs 1 pound of veal. The flavor is very good but I will... — Michele7 Oct 21, 2003

Bourbon Steak

I don't really like strip steaks so I thought a marinade was in order. This added a nice flavor. — Michele7 Jun 25, 2003

Remoulade Sauce

Posted by Bev

I had a sauce like this with my crab cakes at a fancy place in New York City. This sounded close to what I thought I had tasted. Next time I will add less lemon since it is a strong flavor in this recipe. Very good, though, and added that extra... — Michele7 Jun 25, 2003

Overnight Eggnog Baked French Toast

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Bergy

Made this with my leftover eggnog. Yum. The wonderful smell helped get everyone to the table on time. My oven is new...and tempermental...so I reduced the temperature to 425. I left the aluminum foil on for over half the cooking time and then... — Michele7 Jan 13, 2003

Tortellini Antipasto Kebabs

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by yooper

These were just the right thing for my get together. I'm always looking for something different and this was it! Since I had lots to choose from I had some left over. I took everything off the kebob and threw it in a dish to have as a side dish... — Michele7 Oct 30, 2002

Cream Wafers

Enjoy. They freeze well too. This recipe is the same as the one I make. You cannot imagine all the compliments you will get. I made 10 dozen of these cookies for the cookie table at my older son's wedding. It's a custom in northern Ohio to not... — Michele7 Oct 30, 2002

Best Buckeyes (Peanut Butter and Chocolate Candies)

Posted by Karen=^..^=

I just want to add a note about using paraffin in any recipe. I use it when I make these yummies too but please be careful if you are grating over the stove, etc. Paraffin is flammable. I've never had any trouble but just be aware and be careful. — Michele7 Oct 29, 2002

Christmas Holly Wreath Clusters

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by GinnyP

And here I thought I was the only one who made these! They taste wonderful, my kids always fought over them, but my husband's co-workers always thought they were decorations and not a cookie. He had to explain they were edible. Everyone said... — Michele7 Oct 28, 2002

Asparagus Pasta

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Karen

Loved this! Just the right amount of heat. The next time I make this I will put the fresh grated parm cheese in a serving bowl and let everyone put his own on. I didn't like the way it melted in the skillet. I served this with chicken breasts... — Michele7 Oct 26, 2002
