We tried this recipe for the maiden voyage of the ice cream maker we scored at a yard sale. I added some cinnamon and vanilla and I pureed the berries before mixing them with the sugar and water and bringing it to boil. I didn't bother straining... — Sonata Aug 6, 2009

Cheesy Eggplant (Aubergine) Pesto Stacks

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by FlemishMinx

I had some pesto I needed to use up, plus fresh eggplant from the farm, so this recipe was perfect. I didn't have much eggplant, so I used some green and yellow squash in the stacks as well. The whole family enjoyed this and I'll definitely make... — Sonata Jul 29, 2009

Bread Machine Cinnamon Buns

We had a snow day today and I thought it was a perfect day for cinnamon buns. I put the ingredients in as my bread machine instructs and subbed whole wheat flour for 1 cup of the all-purpose flour. I spread the melted butter on the dough, then... — Sonata Mar 2, 2009

Extreme Low Fat Sweet-And-Sour Skillet Chicken

Thanks for sharing this excellent recipe! I made mine a little less low-fat by sauteing in olive oil instead of chicken broth, and I left out the celery and green pepper and added some broccoli. I used fresh pineapple and a little less soy sauce... — Sonata Feb 23, 2009

This smelled delicious while it was cooking! I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt and mixed the seasonings into the honey mixture because I didn't read the whole recipe through. I think I cooked it a little too long as it turned out... — Sonata Dec 11, 2008

Spinach Salad with Honey Bacon Dressing

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Hey Jude

I forgot the cheese, left out the tomato and mushrooms and only had two slices of bacon, but it was scrumptious anyway. I also threw in a handful of dried cranberries. I followed another reviewer's suggestion to use white wine vinegar and halved... — Sonata Oct 7, 2008

This was really good. I cut the recipe in half and I will probably leave out the salt next time since the marinara sauce was salty enough. — Sonata Aug 19, 2008
