Sweet and Sour Crock-Pot Seitan

Posted by Serah B.

Super good! I served it over quinoa and it was really good. And the house DID smell fantastic! — catpanclub2 Mar 18, 2009

Roasted Sweet Potatoes With Tempeh

Posted by Mad-catter

The flavors in this were outstanding, but I can't call it a casserole since there was nothing to really bind it together. Still yummy and comforting on a cold winter's night. — catpanclub2 Dec 8, 2008

Gladys' Zucchini Relish

Posted by Tweeky

I make this every year, and give away tons. Everyone says it's the best relish they've ever had! — catpanclub2 Jul 9, 2007

Vegan Seitan Tetrazzini

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by tendollarwine

Fantastic! I altered the recipe a little. I made it vegetarian rather than vegan (i.e. used real cheeses). I also substituted sliced zucchini for the mushrooms, as we're not mushroom fans. — catpanclub2 May 17, 2007

Brief comment - substitute the chicken with veggie bullion to make this vegetarian as it's tagged. — catpanclub2 Mar 9, 2007

Decadent Tomato Bisque

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by GinnyP

Excellent and easy. As another poster suggested, I added a little brown sugar to the tomatoes. I also added a few pinches of Herbes de Provence as the soup finished. — catpanclub2 Jan 23, 2007

(Not) Meatballs

Posted by smokeski

Worked perfectly for us! I "browned" the crumbles in a saute pan first, and they formed up nicely and tasted excellent! — catpanclub2 Dec 28, 2006

Lasagna Florentine

Fantastic; made it for our veggie Thanksgiving. I used a cream Havarti instead of the Fontina, and it was dee-lish! — catpanclub2 Nov 30, 2006

Crocked Cheese Soup

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by spice queen

My wife said this was the best soup she had ever had, and I tend to agree. SO easy, but so good. I used soymilk (a little more than the recipe calls for) and a vegetarian-safe worceshire sauce, and also added a few shakes of Mrs. Dash... — catpanclub2 Jan 9, 2006

Could probably use vegetarian ("fake") bacon to make this vegetarian as indexed, but I would reduce the cooking time. — catpanclub2 Dec 8, 2005

Creamy Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese

This worked for me, though we found it a little bland. Next time I will add more salt, and probably even some cayenne for a little zing. — catpanclub2 Oct 31, 2005

Krab Pasta Salad

Omit the fish to make this vegetarian as tagged, though of course then it would just be a pasta salad. — catpanclub2 Oct 27, 2005

Whole Foods Mediterranean Tuna Salad

Posted by mandabears

A point of clarification - tuna isn't vegetarian. Fish are animals. Vegetarians don't eat animals. As I said, I'm sure it's a good dish . . . but not vegetarian (though you can use tempeh in place of the tuna!). — catpanclub2 Oct 7, 2005

Looks yummy; vegetable broth can be used instead of chicken to actually make this a vegetarian dish. — catpanclub2 Oct 7, 2005
