I reduced the onions some for personal preference. I liked this but found the pepper to be too much. — Ms*Bindy Jul 13, 2009

General Tso's Tofu

Posted by Hadice

Loved it. The vinegar was just a little strong for my taste. I cut the sugar in half and probably used a lot less cornstarch than called for. I didn't measure, just sprinkled it on, so not sure how much was used. — Ms*Bindy Mar 31, 2009

Fish Chowder

Liked it a lot. I did add some flour to thicken it a little. I'm sure it would thicken some on its own, but wasn't interested in waiting! — Ms*Bindy Oct 9, 2008

Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Brooke the Cook in WI

Too sweet for our taste. The reason that I rate 3 stars rather than 4 is that after polling the family, although they were good, this particular brownie recipe is not one that anyone said that they would request again. I also didn't get anywhere... — Ms*Bindy Aug 24, 2008

Liked it very much; I despise mayo, so used sour cream. Baked and then under the broiler for a few minutes to crisp up the top. — Ms*Bindy Jun 21, 2008

Secretly Delicious Spinach Pie

Posted by Rose's Granddaughter

I thought it was great! I accidently put in 5 Tbsp milk, rather than 2. I skipped the bacon; used cheddar cheese and fresh spinach from my garden. What could be easier than this recipe. I don't think it needs any extra herbs. Even without the... — Ms*Bindy Jun 11, 2008

Baked Kofta Balls in Tomato Sauce

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Chef Joey Z.

DH liked these a lot; I was less enthusiastic. I believe my main issue was that serving them over pasta, my mind was telling me Italian Meatballs....but of course, these are nothing like that. Served plain or over rice or noodles might be my... — Ms*Bindy May 16, 2008

Tofu and Broccoli with Peanut Sauce

Posted by Carol Bullock

I am sorry to say that I did not like this at all. I was surprised since I like the ingredients, and generally like Molly Katzen recipes. I picked out a few bits of tofu and the peanuts to eat, and the rest, I am sorry to say, went down the disposal. — Ms*Bindy May 7, 2008

Chicken and Strawberry Spinach Salad

I stumbled upon this recipe tonight as I looked through the slim selections in my fridge. I really hit the jackpot with this recipe. Today was our first hot day of the year, and this salad was perfect. I used the honey poppyseed dressing from... — Ms*Bindy Apr 19, 2008

Spinach-Gouda-Pecan Quiche

Posted by mliss29

This was a good basic quiche. I thought it was short on seasonings. Also, best as 'left-overs'. When it was fresh out of the oven, I didn't care for the texture of the cheese. It seemed to feel very waxy in my mouth. But as it cooled, that... — Ms*Bindy Mar 24, 2008

Raspberry Pecan Waffles

Posted by Vseward (Chef~V)

Enjoyed by all. I have a defective waffle iron, so hesitated to make these. My waffle iron doesn't get hot enough to make the outsides of the waffled crispy, . I used some home-made raspberry jelly, rather than preserves, so the texture was... — Ms*Bindy Feb 23, 2008
