Chicken Schnitzel

Posted by PanNan

Just a suggestion. After putting the salt, pepper, garlic and parsley on the pounded chicken — if you cover it and place it in the fridge for several hours, it really adds to the flavor. (My recipe calls for chives instead of parsley.) — Jenny Ann Sep 15, 2009

Grannie's Peanut Butter Cookies

Posted by Chef mariajane

Fresh out of the oven I found that these cookies lacked the peanut butter flavor I wanted, which was surprising because the dough tasted very good. However, these cookies age well — if you can call one day aging. Recipe is a keeper. — Jenny Ann Sep 14, 2009

Asian Crunchy Peanut Chicken Salad

Didn't have soy sauce or sesame seed so I used a touch of sesame oil in the dressing. Nice. Will try as written as soon as I have all ingredients. — Jenny Ann Jul 24, 2009

Good dressing - and versatile recipe. Should work with whatever you want to include. But excellent as written (although I've never included the corn). — Jenny Ann Jul 13, 2009

Morning Glory Muffins...for the Gym Obsessed

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by leeners82

I am exercise obsessed, and I was surprised at the white flour and white sugar in this recipe. I apologize but I tweaked it by replacing 1/2 cup of white flour with whole wheat flour, and 1/2 cup of white flour with oat bran. I also replaced... — Jenny Ann Jul 13, 2009

Peanut Butter Sauce

Reminded me of the years we lived in West Africa although I never knew any West African women who cooked with ground beef (or any ground meat). Still, it is a simple way to prepare an old favorite in our household. — Jenny Ann Jun 24, 2009

This recipe should be renamed. It is not Pad Thai, and is misleading for those seeking Pad Thai recipes. — Jenny Ann Jun 21, 2009

Ratatouille With Chickpeas -- Crock-Pot

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Katzen

This is one of those things that is good but you don't know how often you'll prepare it. I halved the recipe and it seemed like we still ate on it for days. One time I served it over whole-wheat spaghetti. My husband thought it would be... — Jenny Ann Jun 11, 2009

I agree with Mikey-Mike. I live in Thailand, and nothing about this recipe suggests 'pad thai'. — Jenny Ann Jun 9, 2009

I was frightened by Romi's suggestion to leave rice on the counter for up to 2 days. Please read the following and consider before following her advice. According to 'Food Standards Agency' — Uncooked rice can contain spores of Bacillus cereus,... — Jenny Ann Jun 9, 2009

Have not tried the recipe but want to thank you for posting it without the Bisquick. Some of us don't live in places where it is available. If I ever stop dieting I'll try the recipe, and then review it. Jenny Ann Jun 1, 2009

I've made this twice by the recipe (minus the mushrooms that I don't like). Have also tried it using spices for a Mexican flare rather than Italian. — Jenny Ann Jun 1, 2009

I'll give 5 stars because it is very good for a muffin of the low fat variety - even though I did not follow the recipe exactly. I really do dislike reviews where the cook has changed half of the ingredients, and then opted to give a review of... — Jenny Ann May 17, 2009
