Cornmeal Pancakes

Posted by LUv 2 BaKE

yummy. I followed the advise of the reviewer that suggested 2T of sugar, 2-3T and salt. I added 1/3t of salt (I tripled the recipe). I will make this recipe again. — Rose M May 26, 2009

Very tasty. I added a little more flour but I'm not sure it was necessary. I'll definitely make this again. — Rose M Nov 15, 2008

Buddha's Soft Pretzels

They were excellent. The recipe would make good bagels too. You would just need to shape them differently. — Rose M Nov 15, 2008

Carrot & Peanut Soup

Posted by Chef #589899

This soup tastes wonderful. I added a little bit of leftover cabbage to the soup. The seasoning was perfect and the peanut butter wasn't too overwhelming but definitely noticeable. I will make it again. — Rose M Nov 2, 2008

Lentil Salad -- in 4 Traditional Variations

Posted by Susiecat too

I made the salad without any of the variations. I really liked the flavour. The cumin and garlic are definitely not optional in my opinion. Very nice salad, I will definitely make this again. — Rose M Jun 24, 2008

Deep Fried Tofu With Asian Plum Sauce or Thai Peanut Sauce

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by ~Rita~

What a delicious way to make tofu! I didn't have firm tofu. I used med but it worked out well that way. My sesame seeds stuck just fine. That was probably because my tofu was fairly wet since it was med and not firm. I really liked the spicy... — Rose M Jun 6, 2008

Spicy Peanut Sauce

This was really good although I cut the oil back to a total of 4T. I didn't have olive or sesame oil so used canola. It was still really good. — Rose M Jun 6, 2008

Copycat Carrabba's House Salad Dressing (Creamy Parmesan)

Posted by Marie

Very yummy. I used milk as a substitute as suggested and dried parsley as that was all I had available. It's a nice recipe as I always have the ingredients on hand and was quite tasty. I will definitely make this again. — Rose M May 13, 2008

O'Brien Quiche

Posted by Elizabeth

This is a great basic recipe. It has so many possibilities for adaptation. Ham would be good, tomatoes, onions, mushroom, etc. Really anything that you might put in an omelet or normal quiche would be good in this recipe. — Rose M Dec 22, 2007

Sweet Pea Soup

Posted by BLUE ROSE

I followed the recipe pretty much exactly except I used cooked dried peas. I've had some in my cupboard for awhile that I needed to use up. This was a really nice way to do that. I suspect that it would have tasted many times better with fresh or... — Rose M Nov 1, 2007

Moroccan Lentil and Chickpea Soup

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Kumquat the Cat's friend

This was a great soup. I only made a few small modifications. I didn't have fresh parsley or cilantro; I used dried parsley instead. Fresh would have been better but not crucial. I didn't have any pasta so I used rice, worked quite well. I omitted... — Rose M Oct 5, 2007

Pan-Fried Tofu with Spicy Peanut Sauce

This was great. The tofu was a really nice texture when it was done. The peanut sauce was also really nice but I might experiment with it a little next time. — Rose M Jul 12, 2007

Great soup. The recipe makes a tonne of soup. I don't think that I would change anything at all in it besides halfing the recipe. — Rose M Mar 4, 2007

You'll want to at least double this recipe if you're feeding a family. It was really good with fresh bread to dip in. — Rose M Mar 3, 2007

Outta This World Lentil Soup

This soup was great. I just threw everything together except the carrots and the wine. When it was almost done I added the remaining ingredients. This helped cut the cooking time substantially. — Rose M Jan 17, 2007

Perfect Peanut Butter Cookies

I made them with raw cane sugar but besides that I followed the recipe to the "t" they came out perfectly. Well worth the minimal effort to make. — Rose M Dec 21, 2006

Nutri-carrot Muffins

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Gingerbee

These muffins were very nice and moist. The only thing I changed was that I used OJ instead of milk. It had a nice subtle orange flavour. I think that they would be equally good with milk. A keeper for sure. — Rose M Nov 24, 2006
