Posted by gaylasikes

This was good...my hubby didn't care for it, but my daughter's boyfriend took the leftovers home and asked for the recipe! Great with Pita Chips...and easy to make. — DragonFly2 Jan 17, 2008

Pumpkin Ravioli With Sage Butter Sauce

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Kozmic Blues

I used this sage butter sauce to serve with a 3-meat ravioli (I have never seen pumpkin ravioli) I left out the cookies and hazelnut. It was terrific. — DragonFly2 Dec 12, 2006

Crescent Roll Lasagna

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by susan14

My family didn't care for this one. Like another reviewer, my hubby thought this came out of a box like Hamburger Helper and he teased me about it- "Oh, I see we're doing the 'just-add-water' cooking now!" It was kind of a mess and just not... — DragonFly2 Dec 12, 2006

Jumbo Chocolate Chip Cookie

(5 people found this helpful) Posted by Kim D.

I ended up making this twice- the first one over-flowed BIGTIME in my oven! But one the second try, it was great! Just a word of advice- keep the batter about 1/2 inch away from the sides of your pizza pan. (Maybe mine just wasn't a big enough... — DragonFly2 Dec 12, 2006

Cream Cheese Blonde Brownies

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Sharlene~W

I made these the other day for a covered dish dinner because I was short on ingredients for tried-and-true recipes of mine, and I found I had everything for this one. Well, they did not go over well- only two pieces eaten, I brought most of it... — DragonFly2 Dec 12, 2006

Devonshire Sandwich Pittsburgh original!!

Yum! I used to get a devonshire sandwich at Teddy's in North Huntington, PA...I haven't had one of these in YEARS (I've lived in Tennessee for 10 years now). Thanks for posting!! — DragonFly2 Feb 3, 2006

Best Darn Meat-Brick / Meatloaf in Texas!

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by QZ Sioux

This was surprisingly good (I got worried while mixing it up- that runny thing made me wonder if it was gonna turn out to be a puddle in the pan)! Even my hubby liked it. Yummy, but definitely not for the "meatloaf purist"- it's more like a... — DragonFly2 Dec 15, 2005

Chinese Chicken Flavored Ramen Noodles Cole Slaw

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by BeachGirl

This got medium to high ratings at a church potluck, although I personally found the flavor a bit too tart for my liking. It's still worth experimenting with, though. I guess I just need to make a few adjustments for my tastebuds! — DragonFly2 Nov 21, 2005

Merill's Tuna Casserole With Crescent Roll Crust

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Oolala

I made this for a church potluck- the only thing was, it is very salty (must be the Good Seasons that makes it so salty- and I only used one packet!) But I thought it was good, and did get one request for the recipe. — DragonFly2 Nov 21, 2005

This was pretty good- my husband wasn't too crazy about it, though. I think I will try it again, with less of the mayo sauce. — DragonFly2 Nov 21, 2005

Sore-and-strep-throat-away Gargle

(6 people found this helpful) Posted by DeSouter

Nasty taste, to be sure, but it does work- it's been my sore throat cure for YEARS. I'm not sure about the strep part, though. Only one thing I'd add- this will work even better if you go to the health food store and buy REAL apple-cider vinegar... — DragonFly2 Dec 16, 2004

I have made this same recipe, but never with the chessmen cookies (just regular vanilla wafers), so I am anxious to try it with the other cookies. I can tell you that even being a Yankee, I have all the guys at work begging me to bring this in... — DragonFly2 Nov 15, 2004

Cheesy Chocolate Chip Squares

Posted by mermaidmagic

These tasted okay, but I think the chocolate chip cookie parts (top & bottom) were too crumbly. I think they'd be better with a choc chip cookie recipe of your own, rather than the refridgerated kind. Still worth experimenting with! — DragonFly2 Nov 8, 2004
