The Raffles Hotel Original Singapore Gin Sling Cocktail

Perfect cocktail. Just the right amount of sweetness. Heads above imposter slings that use sweet and sour mix. — CheezCrazy Oct 31, 2009

The Best Peach Nectarine Muffins

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by georgi

I also had to add extra milk to get the dry ingredients incorporated. Other than that I used 2 unpeeled nectarines instead of one nectarine and one peeled peach, and wound up with 11 very yummy muffins. I will definitely be making this again... — CheezCrazy Jul 4, 2009

Coconut Flan

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by canarygirl

Easy recipe that turned out well. I took other reviewers' advice and doubled the sugar and I also substituted both the shredded coconut and milk for 1 1/2 cups of canned coconut milk as I thought I would prefer a smooth custard to the chewiness... — CheezCrazy Apr 3, 2009

Pork and Shrimp Singapore Noodles

Posted by KITTENCAL

Good recipe, but not similar to the Singapore Noodles from my local takeout which are less saucy and more spicy. The dish was mild and flavourful. Prepping everything in advance as recommended made it easy to cook. — CheezCrazy Mar 2, 2009

Easy and good recipe. I baked it all at once instead of the staged baking. — CheezCrazy Nov 2, 2008

Sausage Gravy

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by ThatJodiGirl

Delicious. I did take the advice of other reviewers and cooked the flour and sausage for 6 minutes before adding the milk to get rid of the flour taste. I also added Worcestershire sauce, salt and Frank's red hot for additional seasoning. — CheezCrazy Oct 26, 2008

Carnitas a La Whole Foods

Posted by j-jitterbug

Very good recipe. The pork was very tender. The only alteration I made was to use the crockpot to finish the cooking (5 hours on low) instead of baking in the oven. — CheezCrazy Jul 6, 2008

Fresh Strawberry Pie

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by *Z*

I used a pre-made cookie crust (Keebler chocolate) so the recipe was no bake. The filling didn't set up firmly, which made serving more challenging but made for a much more pleasant feeling in the mouth so the serving challenge can be forgiven.... — CheezCrazy Apr 10, 2008

Elvis's Fried Dill Pickles

Posted by Lennie

These was a good recipe, easy to make at home, though I did have to double the beer to get a batter consistency. I served them with Thousand Island dressing for dipping. I didn't give the recipe 5 stars because they're still not the best fried... — CheezCrazy Mar 9, 2008

Ground Beef Curry (Kima Curry)

Very good, mild curry. I used a 14 fl oz tin of diced tomatoes instead of fresh tomatoes as tomatoes were out of season. — CheezCrazy Dec 17, 2007

Fig, Prosciutto, Gorgonzola Salad

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by bobo3039

The gorgonzola, proscuitto and figs are wonderful together. I cheated on the dressing and used "Creme de Balsamique" (already reduced balsamic vinegar). I agree with the suggestion for grilling/broiling the figs. Thanks for the recipe! — CheezCrazy Sep 16, 2007

Broiled Figs With Goat Cheese

Amazing! I had no rosemary stalks so I had to do without, but they were still fantastic. I served them one night as a dessert and another time with breakfast, both times to rave reviews. Thank you so much for posting! — CheezCrazy Sep 16, 2007

Pulled Pork (Crock Pot)

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by duonyte

Great recipe! My crockpot is a little larger so I used more ginger ale (until halfway up pork) and cut the cooking times (10 hours for initial, 1 hour to warm with sauce). Leftovers made a great pizza (with sweet chili sauce and gruyere, topped... — CheezCrazy Jun 1, 2007

Loved it! So unusual with the mangos. The filling was perfectly balanced; flavourful but not sickly sweet or overly musky from the mangos. Thanks for posting! — CheezCrazy May 4, 2007
