Banana Nut Bread

Posted by Karin...

Very, very good bread. My wife has braces, so I ground the nuts. Next time around I'll sweeten it up some, but that's just our taste. I had to cook it for 40 minutes at 350F. Next time I'll use a 9x5 pan. — Red Apple Guy Nov 22, 2009

5 Minute Artisan Bread

Posted by Chef UK

I'm in love with this method and recipe. It takes a minimum of effort for great bread several times a week. I used weight instead of volume for better control (32.6 oz AP flour, 25.6 oz water, 0.49 oz active yeast, 0.88 oz kosher salt). I also... — Red Apple Guy Oct 10, 2009

This is a great way to make great bread with a minimum of effort. I used weights instead of volume for better control (32.6 oz AP flour, 25.6 oz water, .49 oz active yeast, 0.88 kosher salt). I also used whole wheat flour for 25% of the total... — Red Apple Guy Oct 10, 2009

Easy Creamy Sour Cream Chicken Casserole

Posted by KC_Cooker

Our favorite casserole! My wife has made this since the kids were small. Later, the girls requested it every time a boyfriend came over for dinner. Around our house, it was called "the boyfriend casserole". My wife sometimes adds peas. — Red Apple Guy Oct 5, 2009

Three-Grain Bread (Bread Machine)

Posted by ratherbeswimmin'

Hey Ratherbe, very good bread. I made a number of changes to let the whole grains hydrate some. I used water and powdered milk and added a tablespoon of water. I mixed the whole grains with the water and half the yeast, mixed it and let it sit... — Red Apple Guy Sep 27, 2009

Whole Wheat Beer & Honey Bread Machine Rolls

Excellent recipe! I had been looking for a whole wheat recipe that was light and a good sandwich loaf when this was suggested. Although a roll recipe, the loaf is terrific. I baked for 40 minutes using a 9x5x3 pan. I did use the ingredients... — Red Apple Guy Sep 20, 2009

Basic Soft White Sandwich Loaf Bread

Superb!! I made this to learn the basics of bread making while going through "the bread bible" by beranbaum. I completed 2 rises and not 3 to save time. The starter approach here rocks and I learned a great deal baking this bread. The bread... — Red Apple Guy Sep 19, 2009

I cooked this in a crock pot, layering the ingredients instead of rolling in the tortillas. I'm sure I used fewer tortillas (8-10). But, this was terrific. Everyone loved it. — Red Apple Guy Jun 22, 2009

Ready after church Pot Roast Dinner
