Cider Glazed Pork Chops

Posted by Grooved Pavement

We really liked these, but my sauce seemed to disappear. Next time I will double it. I also added a little extra brown sugar just to sweeten it a bit more. Good Autumn dinner... thank you. — Christmas Carol Nov 27, 2009

Opal's Pumpkin Pie

Posted by CarrolJ

This pie was very light in texture- almost like a pumpkin mousse. It's a very reliable recipe- wonderfully spiced and filling two deep-dish pie shells perfectly. Simple to prepare, & everyone at Thanksgiving dinner enjoyed it. — Christmas Carol Nov 27, 2009

Almost White Castle Hamburgers

Posted by Chef Doozer

These were fun to prepare and so yummy! I used King's Hawaiian rolls, and since my burgers came out thicker than White Castle's, these tasted even better. Great party food or to snack on while watching games or movies. I'll be making these again! — Christmas Carol Sep 21, 2009

Stuffed Pork Chops

Posted by TiaGem

These came out looking gorgeous & tasting delicious. I made a little more stuffing and added some dried thyme to the mix, then piled it high on top of two thick boneless pork chops. The stuffing held firm to the chops & the gravy was perfect. What... — Christmas Carol Sep 20, 2009

Chicken-Fried Steak

Posted by KathyP53

Sooooo Good! Been on a chicken-fried steak kick since having it at a restaurant. This would also be excellent served on buttermilk biscuits as a hearty country breakfast with hashbrowns, eggs, and fruit. Not one for leftovers, this tasted even... — Christmas Carol Sep 7, 2009

Maple Syrup Pork Chops

Posted by Sassy in da South

These were delicious chops! I used apple cider vinegar & the only think I did differently was ended up pouring the sauce into the skillet I'd browned the chops in, to deglaze the pan after I noticed all those yummy browned bits. Then I poured it... — Christmas Carol Sep 1, 2009

Gordon Ramsay's Ultimate Burger

Posted by Karen in OC

Wow- we love these burgers! At first I thought the combination of ingredients seemed a little odd, but boy, were they good. In fact, it's how I prefer to make my burgers now. Wonder how he came up with this? — Christmas Carol Aug 19, 2009

Fruity Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Posted by justcallmetoni

This is an excellent sandwich! The BF doesn't even like anything apricot, and he thought it was delicious too. I made it with Smucker's apricot spread and brick cheese. Puts a whole new spin on plain old grilled cheese, especially for the... — Christmas Carol Aug 19, 2009

Wanda Bars (Double Chocolate Oreo Bars)

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by Messy44

I made these for Christmas & they tasted delicious (how could they not?) but I did have a little trouble cutting them and they were a tad gooey when guests went to eat them. I'm not sure if I did something wrong but I would make these again... — Christmas Carol Jan 6, 2008

Chicken Schnitzel

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by PanNan

Wow!- Okay, now that I've tried this fresh breadcrumb/grated cheese combo (this is the second recipe), I'll likely not go back to my dry bread crumbs from the store. This makes the most flavorful, moistest, evenly browned chicken ever. The sauce... — Christmas Carol Apr 28, 2007

Baked Crab

Posted by Andi of Longmeadow Farm

For some reason I thought this would have a creamier, more dip-like consisitency, as we had trouble spreading it on the bread & crackers. But now that I note the name, it does say 'baked crab' & not a spread or dip. I'll probably add some heavy... — Christmas Carol Apr 28, 2007

Big Breakfast Cookie

(4 people found this helpful) Posted by Budgiegirl

I made two cookies, and at first bite wasn't quite sure how many stars I would rate them. They do taste like a healthy cookie would, which is fine with me since I love a good granola bar as much as a candy bar. They're rich & filling in their own... — Christmas Carol Feb 24, 2007

Swirled Cheesecake Nibbles

Posted by Doglover61

Oh, I really was hoping to love these as much as the others but truthfully I wasn't fond of the swirled chips or the texture of the cheesecake. I did use raspberry/chocolate chips for half of them & those tasted better. Of course it didn't help... — Christmas Carol Dec 30, 2006

A class-act marsala dish! This was my recipe of choice for our first dinner on our beautiful new kitchen set, a Christmas present to ourselves. Served with a side of spaghetti & a glass of red wine. Perfection! — Christmas Carol Dec 30, 2006

Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

Posted by M&Mers

This is a lovely alfredo dish- rich & flavorful. Much lighter than other versions (note the small amount of butter & lack of cream)- YAY! But every bit as creamy & delicious as a good Alfredo sauce should be. Yum- a keeper here! — Christmas Carol Dec 10, 2006

Pammy's Crock Pot Chicken Breast and Gravy

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Packer Backer Pammy

Even though the end result was just a tad salty for our tastes, five FANTABULOUS stars for this one!!!! Simply put, when I thinned the gravy out with some half & half & a bit of water, this was some of the best chicken we've ever sunk our teeth... — Christmas Carol Nov 18, 2006

Country Sloppy Joes

Initially I was going to give this recipe a four star rating because it seemed a little too oniony-tasting, but it easily jumped to a five-star when we ate the leftovers the next day. After the flavors melded & the sauce thickened, these Sloppy... — Christmas Carol Oct 28, 2006

Beef Roast

It was love at first bite for us! The Italian dressing gave it a subtle zest, but was significant enough to make me wonder if this wasn't the secret ingredient my gravy's been missing all these years. I substituted the Franco-American for two jars... — Christmas Carol Oct 15, 2006
