Nobody Knows They're Instant Mashed Potatoes

Posted by ilovechocolate

This was just okay to me. It was edible and the flavors were nice, but just tasted like souped up boxed instant mashed potatoes, which I really don't care for. If you like the boxed stuff, this is great! If you don't, stay away. — lazy gourmet Sep 20, 2009

Slow Cooker Italian Pork Chops

Posted by ilovechocolate

I really liked this! The meat was fall off the bone tender and the sauce was good - I didn't slather it on the pork chops (I don't care for my meat COVERED with sauce) but loved the flavor from the slow cooking. I'm keeping this one, thanks! — lazy gourmet Sep 20, 2009

Crock-Pot Chicken Chow Mein

Posted by ilovechocolate

I really liked this! I doubled the recipe and OMG I've got enough leftovers for the next three nights, I think the original recipe is probably plenty for 4-5. It did taste like take out, which is what I was hoping for. I also used low sodium... — lazy gourmet Sep 16, 2009

Jalapeno and Cheddar Cornbread

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Sue L

I really enjoyed this cornbread. I'm not a fan of cornbread that is sugary and tastes like cake, and this fit the bill! I did make this in a muffin tin, rather than a pan, and only baked for about 20-25 minutes (if you do this, I'd recommend... — lazy gourmet Jun 13, 2009

Kittencal's Spicy Mexican Chicken Corn Chowder

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by KITTENCAL

I used 2 jalapenos and no added salt from this (if you are using canned tomatoes you might want to taste before salting). This was really yummy. I didn't find it to have too much of a bite, but my hubby was like OMG this is SO spicy so I guess... — lazy gourmet Jun 13, 2009

Midori Margarita

Posted by lazyme

This was a little too tart for me. I think next time I'll cut back on the lime juice like a couple other reviewers mentioned. Otherwise yummy margarita! — lazy gourmet Jun 12, 2009

Mexican Rice

Posted by Pot Scrubber

Wow, this came out perfect! This is the first mexican rice dish I've made that did turn out fluffy. I didn't have high hopes when I put it in the oven but a half hour later it was perfect! Thanks for sharing this - it's going into the keeper file! — lazy gourmet Jun 12, 2009

Chicken Tostadas

Posted by mama's kitchen

This was really good and incredibly easy! This would be a great meal for hot days when you don't want to have to leave the oven on for an hour. My husband has requested I put this on my "make a lot" list! Thanks for sharing this! — lazy gourmet Jun 12, 2009

Vicki Bickies

These were great - I was a little concerned with one reviewer saying they were rich but they aren't too sweet at all! The amount of coconut is just enough to give them a hint more flavor without being overly "coconutty"!! Thanks for posting! I... — lazy gourmet Jun 9, 2009

Australian Beer-Barbecued Wings

Posted by diner524

This was sticky yum heaven! I used bone in chicken breasts just because I don't like messing with itty bitty wings, did some adjusting on the cook time but otherwise made as posted. My cat even begged for some. Keeper! — lazy gourmet Jun 8, 2009

Amarula Colada

Posted by Iceland

This was a great milkshake consistency. I think I added too much ice or something though because it wasn't at all sweet. Thanks for turning me on to Amarula, I had to search for it! Keeper recipe, I just think I need to change the ice. — lazy gourmet Jun 8, 2009

Grilled Parmesan Potatoes

Posted by diner524

This was great! I let it go for a full hour because the grill was open and the day was cool...okay cold. And made bigger chunks of potatoes than called for. I also used a garlic cheese blend made locally instead of the garlic salt that consists... — lazy gourmet Jun 8, 2009

Okay, I'm totally addicted. I used about 1/2 tsp salt, about 3/4th cup grapes and 1/2 cup of nuts, but otherwise made as posted. Wow. KEEPER!!! — lazy gourmet Jun 3, 2009

P.f. Chang's Mai Tai

Posted by Dr. Jenny

I've never had a mai tai from PF Chang's, but I love them so had to try! This is the first one I've actually prepared myself but it was very good and tasted like a bartender made it! Yay me! Keeper! I did use simple syrup instead of the orgeat... — lazy gourmet Jun 1, 2009

Wow, this was great. The smell in the house was worth five stars alone! I used less shrimp than called for and more chicken just out of personal preference and some oregano and cayenne pepper too. I halved the recipe and still came out with way... — lazy gourmet May 31, 2009

Sweet and Sour Kielbasa Kabobs

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Charmie777

This was good and soooo easy! I may leave the vinegar out next time because hubby doesn't care for it, and I also added hot pepper flakes to the glaze as another couple of people suggested. Very good will make again! — lazy gourmet May 30, 2009

Peas N Rice (Bahamas)

Posted by Sydney Mike

This was good, the bacon added just the extra amount of flavor needed. I'd actually probably use an extra slice next time, my slices were small. I did have to use kidney beans as I couldn't find pigeon peas, but the flavor was still good!... — lazy gourmet May 30, 2009

Jamaican Rummed Baked Bananas

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Deantini

This was tasty. Do note that the liquid doesn't thicken up, more that the bananas absorb the liquid. Served with coconut ice cream! Thanks for the recipe! — lazy gourmet May 30, 2009
