Berry Good No Work Jam

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by hellokitty

I followed this recipe exactly and this did not turn out as jam for me. I used blueberries and when the berries were mashed with a fork they did not blend together to form any type of jam. I think this would probably work much better by using... — ~Lainie~ Nov 27, 2009

Fireside Cran-Apple Tea

Posted by Dancer^

Oh my, this is so delicious! I used good Earth Restaurants Cinnamon Apple Caffeine Free tea. This had just the right amount of sweetness to counteract the tartness of the cranberry juice and I loved the cinnamon flavor. A real keeper in my book! — ~Lainie~ Nov 22, 2009

Puffy Pizza

Posted by knitaholic

What a fun and easy way to make pizza! I used turkey Italian sausage and upped the sauce to 1-1/4 cups. I also omitted the mushrooms. Next time I plan to add green bell pepper and red onion as I like those on pizza. I used my toaster oven... — ~Lainie~ Nov 13, 2009

Hard to believe no one has made this recipe before me! Very yummy butter with a rich honey flavor. I only had blueberry and huckleberry jelly on hand, so opted to use the huckleberry. Served on hot-from-the-oven biscuits. Delish! — ~Lainie~ Nov 9, 2009

Loved the combination of PB and honey, and the raisins and carrot added an enjoyable flavor and texture. I used Nature's Pride Double Fiber 100% Whole Wheat Bread. Made me feel absolutely righteous for eating a "health" sandwich. — ~Lainie~ Nov 2, 2009

Choco-Pb Smoothie

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Terri Newell

This was a wonderful smoothie. For my tastebuds, the peanut butter and banana flavor were more prominent than the chocolate so I guess I'm the opposite of the posting chef, LOL. I plan to make this again but will be adding more chocolate syrup. — ~Lainie~ Nov 2, 2009

Quick Scalloped Apples

I used 2 Macintosh apples, 1/4 cup of the brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of the lemon water and 1/4 t. cinnamon. I agree with the other reviewer that it was too much liquid. I would use only 1 tablespoon of the lemon water next time. That being... — ~Lainie~ Oct 18, 2009

I've never tried a BLT with avocado and it's a great addition. I lightly salted the avocado and tomato slices and didn't measure out the mayo, just slathered it on the toast until it looked right to me. Made for Fall 2009 Pick A Chef Adoptions. — ~Lainie~ Oct 11, 2009

I only had Macintosh apples and decided to use them even though I knew they would make the applesauce more tart. I also used Pumpkin Pie Spice. I shared the applesauce with a co-worker and we both loved it. — ~Lainie~ Oct 9, 2009
