Wholesome Homemade Honey Whole Wheat Bread

Posted by Karen=^..^=

I make this bread every week. The only changed I make are I've cut the recipe down to one loaf and I double the honey. It's delicious for sandwiches and toast and anything else you might need it for. Perfect. — Gina*S Aug 3, 2009

Homemade Mayonnaise

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by BeachGirl

This is the one I use all the time. I think it's most like best foods. I leave out the paprika and use rice vinegar. I just dump all the ingredients into a jar, insert my stick blender and within seconds it's fluffy and white and beautiful.... — Gina*S Aug 3, 2009

Potato Latkes

Posted by dojemi

These were delicious! I made half the recipe for my daughter and I and served them with apple sauce. We made pigs of ourselves! I don't know what the baking powder added but I wouldn't leave it out or change anything else about them because they... — Gina*S Mar 23, 2009

Spicy Indian Dahl

Posted by Daydream

I've been trying out various Indian recipes lately and decided to give Lentils another shot (I've only ever had the brown ones and only ever in soup and I didn't care for them). This dish is amazing! The blend of spices is just perfect and the... — Gina*S Mar 8, 2009

Penne With Sausage in Pumpkin Sauce.

Posted by ~Rita~

This was delicious! I made a few changes but nothing too critical. I decreased the red pepper and onion because mine were quite large and I didn't want them to overwhelm the other flavors. I also used breakfast sausage because that's what I had on... — Gina*S Feb 11, 2009

Jalapeno Cheese Crackers

Wonderful crackers! I added some cheddar for more cheesiness, and double the recipe. I'm glad I did. These will not last long. — Gina*S Jan 26, 2009

Vegan Bacon

Posted by Elcowgirl

I don't know if I did something wrong but it just didn't turn out for me. I started out with the measurements given, but wound up with double the soy sauce, liquid smoke and yeast. And still I thought it was lacking in flavor and just sort of... — Gina*S Jan 26, 2009

Prime Rib Roast

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Miss Annie

Yum. My roast was smaller than 4 bones (2) and about 3 lbs but the timing worked anyway. Perfectly medium rare. I did add some granulated garlic and some wasabi powder to the salt and pepper. And the sauce was wonderful even though I subbed part... — Gina*S Dec 19, 2008

Biryani With Murgh (Chicken)

Posted by Moogliwoogli

This is very tasty. My jalapeno was old so I didn't use it. I also increased the amount of chicken as suggested by one reviewer and I would up nearly overflowing my electric skillet. I wish I had cut down on the amount of rice, but other than... — Gina*S Dec 14, 2008

Indian Rice Pudding

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Velouria

This was sooooo good I could not stop eating it. I had to make some substitutions though: I had a large can of coconut cream that I used for the heavy cream and coconut milk. I also used sliced almonds instead of pistachios. I added some cinnamon... — Gina*S Dec 12, 2008

Chole Masala

Posted by manju

This is pretty good. I had to use canned tomatoes which I slightly pureed, and I added a bit of cinnamon. It was very quick and easy to make and my vegetarian daughter ate a large bowl full. Thanks for sharing the recipe. — Gina*S Dec 12, 2008

Awesome White Cheese and Chocolate Enchiladas

Posted by EdsGirlAngie

I'm not going to give this any stars because I have a feeling I just don't like mole sauce. I really thought I would, I have an adventurous palate, I always put cocoa in my chili... it seemed like the perfect recipe... but it just did not work for... — Gina*S Dec 7, 2008

Whiskey - Flavored Pork Chops

These were delicious!! I doubled the recipe but simply could not bring myself to put in a whole entire tsp of sage. I think I used about 1/2 tsp in all. Very yummy. Thanks for sharing. It will become a regular in my house. — Gina*S Nov 1, 2008

Twice Cooked Baby Potatoes

(2 people found this helpful) Posted by Cookin-jo

At first I thought these were merely good, but the more I ate them the more addictive they became. I smashed them pretty flat and they got nice and crispy on the outside, tender and sweet on the inside. I will definitely make these again and... — Gina*S Nov 1, 2008

Authentic Sauerbraten

Posted by Tonkcats

I'm not sure what happened here. When it was all said and done, the meat tasted of nothing but vinegar. I followed the instructions except I used a brisket cut instead of a rump roast. Could that have made that much of a difference?? About 3 days... — Gina*S Oct 30, 2008

Chicken Pot Pie With 2 Crusts

Posted by Charmie777

This was very good. My chicken broth must have been low sodium because I had to add a lot more salt and pepper than the recipe called for. I also added some garlic because... well I love garlic. Delicious filling! — Gina*S Oct 28, 2008

Company Macaroni and Cheese

I doubled everything in this except the cream cheese. It was delicious!! Creamy, not the least bit grainy, and perfectly cheesy. I used whole wheat pasta and the sauce held up to the stronger taste with no problem. This is a keeper! — Gina*S Sep 25, 2008

Pork & Sauerkraut

Posted by PickyEater

I love pork and sauerkraut but this just did not work for me. In spite of cutting back on the sugar, it was just too sweet. The recipe itself worked out fine, I think it's just a matter of personal taste. Sorry. — Gina*S Aug 1, 2008

This is the one I'm going to use from now on. I love the coating. Substantial but not too thick. I marinated my chicken tenders for several hours but used buttermilk instead of water. — Gina*S Jul 21, 2008
