Made this last night. Was a little uneasy about all that liquid but it did turn into a syrup. I will be cutting back on the sugar next time. I did leave off 1/4 cup of sugar and found I could have cut it down to only one cup. Other than that... — Rheka Oct 20, 2004

Very good & very easy. Practically makes itself. I did sift my flour and used seltzer water instead of beer. Took the other reviewers suggestion and used only 1/4cup of melted butter. Turned out great the first time...family raved...great... — Rheka Apr 2, 2004

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cake

Great not too sweet snack cake. This smells just like chocolate chip cookies when it bakes. Yum. I did add 1 tsp. of vanilla and only had to cook it for 30 minutes. Do divide your chips...some are suppose to go on top according to the recipe.... — Rheka Mar 8, 2004
