Chicken Thigh Spareribs(well, sort of, lol)

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by ciao

Great recipe! I used bone-in chicken thighs, substituted the wine/apple juice for orange juice since that was all I had on hand, and skipped the cornstarch step at the end. Will definitely be making this again. Thanks! — Chef de Sucre Nov 5, 2009

Sauteed Gnocchi

Excellent! I used parmesan cheese instead of romano, and that seemed to match well with the dish as well. Thanks for a great recipe! — Chef de Sucre Oct 28, 2009

Tilapia al Ajillo (garlic tilapia)

Posted by canarygirl

A nice, simple fish dish. I coated the tilapia in corn meal as well as salt and pepper and thought that turned out well. I think next time I might cook the garlic a little before adding the fish. Thanks! — Chef de Sucre Oct 13, 2009

Vegetable Rice Pancakes

Great recipe for using up leftover rice! I used dried parsley instead of fresh and had leftover white rice, but think brown rice would be even better. Thanks! — Chef de Sucre Oct 13, 2009

Fresh Tomato Chicken

This was good! I had to use garlic powder and left out the onion since I apparently need to hit the grocery store again. Very nice with mashed potatoes. Thanks! — Chef de Sucre Oct 7, 2009

Drunken Garlic Crock Pot Roast

I also was wary of using so much minced garlic, but I went for it. Amazing! Even our picky eater begged for more. I used red wine vinegar instead of cider vinegar. Thanks for this one! — Chef de Sucre Sep 12, 2009

Balsamic Sauteed Mushrooms

Wow! There were fabulous! Luckily, my husband refuses to eat mushrooms, so I could have more. I did not change anything in this recipe. — Chef de Sucre Aug 22, 2009

Crustless Spinach Ricotta Quiche

Posted by Kozmic Blues

This recipe was pretty good. I agree that it does need a little more salt. Next time, I would use less spinach and more ricotta. I did make a crust to put it in, which was very tasty. — Chef de Sucre Aug 18, 2009

Lemon Raspberry Muffins

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Jess4Freedom

Yummy! These were great muffins. I will be making these again. I only made half the amount of glaze and it was more than enough for the full recipe of muffins. also, these are great with blueberries rather than raspberries. — Chef de Sucre Aug 15, 2009

Chinese Chicken Wings

This was a great marinade. I also lowered the amount of soy sauce since I didn't have enough on hand, so I lowered the amount of brown sugar and oil accordingly. Yummy! — Chef de Sucre Jul 19, 2009

Thanks for the great recipe! I used 3 peeled and dice fresh peaches, and they tasted wonderful! I also used the high amount of spices, which was very nice, although I may use more cinnamon next time because we like it so much. Thanks again! — Chef de Sucre Jul 19, 2009

Yummy Creamy Rice Pudding

Thanks for this recipe! It was very good. I didn't change anything, but I think that next time I might use short grain rice to make it a little more creamy. — Chef de Sucre Jul 17, 2009

Persian-Style Basmati Rice Pilaf

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by KITTENCAL

Thanks again for another keeper! I added about 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. The only other slight change that I made was that I added the rice at the same time as the garlic to somewhat toast the rice as well for about 3 minutes before adding... — Chef de Sucre Jul 14, 2009

Balsamic-Glazed Salmon Fillets

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Kree

This was really good. We enjoyed that the marinade was not overpowering and the subtle flavors of the marinade complemented the salmon very well. I had to use dried parsley, since when I went to the cupboard, the oregano was all gone... Still... — Chef de Sucre Jul 10, 2009

Zucchini Marinata (Marinated Zucchini Salad)

Posted by Cookgirl

This is a good option for raw zucchini. My husband and I definitely prefer cooked zucchini, but on a hot day with no AC, this would be great. We did find the lemon a little overpowering, so I might lower the amount of lemon juice next time. — Chef de Sucre Jul 10, 2009

Hearty Vegetarian Pasta Salad

We liked this a lot! I opted for the dried dill, due to not being able to find any fresh basil at the market. I also added some cucumber and used mozzarella cheese. Tasted great. I added balsamic vinegar, about 3-4 Tablespoons, because I like... — Chef de Sucre Jul 10, 2009

Honey, Vanilla, and Thyme Roasted Chicken

We really liked this a lot! Since I am baking in a toaster oven and needed 8 servings, I used chicken pieces rather than whole chickens. I had five in a baking dish which I covered with foil until done and then browned the skin by removing the... — Chef de Sucre Jun 11, 2009
