My Family's Favorite Sloppy Joes, or Pizza Joes

Posted by Hey Jude

Good recipe. Doubled the batch, used a walla walla sweet onion and added a few red pepper flakes for a tiny kick. Thanks — kansasjosh Sep 6, 2009

Best Ever Banana Cake With Cream Cheese Frosting

Posted by Rhonda *J*

5 stars from me and all my coworkers. I brought it to work today and the clinic is raving. The chief physician just asked for the recipe so I'd say it's a hit. Maybe not the healthiest dessert but it's good. — kansasjosh Dec 8, 2008

Chicken Breast Lombardy

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Just Cher

We followed the recipe exactly and agree it is a very good dish. I was a little surprised it got 5 stars across the board. I made this dish for 5 friends and nobody commented on it but they finished their plates. If I made it again I think... — kansasjosh Aug 20, 2008

Grilled Cheese, Diner Style

Posted by Dawnab

I can't say I noticed the taste of the mayo, but I liked how the sandwich felt less greasy from lack of butter. I agree mayo toasts the bread better, also. Good idea. — kansasjosh Oct 4, 2006

My G'ma's Best Scalloped Corn

Posted by Katrina

This was ok, but not exactly a "wow" dish. Nobody commented on it either way, but i liked it. Thanks--it was different from what I usually make. — kansasjosh Nov 25, 2005

My Favorite Oriental Coleslaw

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by yooper

I wouldn't change a thing. People asked me for the recipe. One clarification--seems to me if you want a little bit of crunch, I wouldn't necessarily make this dish the night before...just make it about 4 or 5 hours before your meal. — kansasjosh Nov 25, 2005

Sorry, only found these very average. Wasn't worth a special trip to the store I made to get the ingredients. — kansasjosh Oct 16, 2005

Kittencal's Famous Coleslaw

(4 people found this helpful) Posted by KITTENCAL

Like everyone said this tastes just like KFC or even Applebee's coleslaw. I was lazy and didn't feel like shredding the carrot and cabbage so I bought one of those coleslaw mix bags in the produce section. I didn't take into account that the... — kansasjosh Oct 5, 2005

Potato Soup

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Ridgely

Perfect comfort food. The only alteration I made was to use golden potatoes. This would also be good with a little bit of chopped or shredded carrot, but really this is one of the best soups I've made yet. I'll be making this again, so thank you. — kansasjosh Dec 5, 2004

Hot Spinach Artichoke Dip

Posted by Mary in LA.

This is very similar to a recipe I had lost....so I tried this and it was WONDERFUL. I was hoping to bring home leftovers from a party, but there was none left. The only thing I did was sprinkle extra parmesan cheese over the top of this before... — kansasjosh Nov 13, 2004

Bavarian Cheese Dip (Obatzda)

(5 people found this helpful) Posted by MarieAlice

Excellent taste. I was in Munich last fall and had obatzda--this recipe does it justice. I think the key is the beer you choose to use. As far as the bread goes, I simply bought some light rye at the store and it worked just fine. The only... — kansasjosh May 23, 2004
