Awesome Apple Bread

Posted by Marg (CaymanDesigns)

Incredibly moist, rich, and yummy. Easy to make, too! So it's not terribly healthy...but it's sooooo tasty! Next time I think I'll try using applesauce and add more walnuts than called for (I like walnuts). Thanks for such a great recipe! — jmelyn Jan 21, 2008

Really easy recipe, and tasty. My three year old liked it, so that is always a plus! I used turkey kilbasa and sliced it and browned it before adding it in. Thanks for the recipe! — jmelyn Mar 13, 2007

Turkey Soup With Egg Noodles and Vegetables

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by Bev

Oh, this is really good. And SO easy. I used one onion instead of leeks, and more egg noodles than called for, since I had some really yummy, homemade noodles. Perfect use for leftover turkey. So good. Thanks for sharing! — jmelyn Dec 6, 2006

Easiest Pot Roast Ever- Made in Crock Pot

(3 people found this helpful) Posted by taillights@insightbb.com

I actually used a combination of this recipe and the one that comes with the Lipton Onion Soup. I only had one packet of soup, so I used that and the 3 bouillion cubes, and it was perfect. I also used two large potatoes, and three carrots, a... — jmelyn Aug 14, 2006

Texas Best Pico de Gallo

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by PanNan

This is very tasty! I didn't end up using avocado, so I thought that there were too many onions--I added more tomatoes, and in the future I will decrease the amount of onion. I added two jalapenos and garlic salt. Thanks for the recipe! — jmelyn Aug 11, 2006

Cedar Planked Salmon With Spice Rub

This was great! I love cedar planked salmon, and was looking for a good spice rub recipe--this did nicely! I added some chili powder and some dry pesto spice mix (it had basil, sundried tomato, garlic, and onion). It tasted great. Thanks for... — jmelyn Jun 27, 2006

I forgot to review these when I made them back on Super Bowl day--they were great! Very tasty--I halved the recipe because I wasn't expecting very many people, but I could have made a full recipe! They disappeared quickly! Thanks for a great... — jmelyn Apr 29, 2006

Mama Vi’s Deviled Eggs

Great recipe! Just what I was looking for. I wanted a simple devilled eggs recipe just like what my mom makes. I was making devilled eggs for Easter--my mom was in an airplane on her way home from Hawaii, so I couldn't ask her how she made... — jmelyn Apr 19, 2006

Thanks for posting this! I'd seen Alton Brown use the same method on Food Network, and wanted to use it when I made devilled eggs this past Easter. But I couldn't remember the particulars. Here they are though! Makes perfect eggs, and is very... — jmelyn Apr 19, 2006

Kittencal's Spinach Parmesan Rice Bake

This was great! We made it for an Iron Chef sort of competition where the ingredient was rice. Okay, so it didn't win, but we got lots and lots of compliments. We'll definitely be making this again! — jmelyn Feb 17, 2006

Texas Cowboy Cookies in a Jar

Received these for Christmas this year--baked up nice and tasty! And EASY! I, too, had issues with the brown sugar being hardened--but I chipped at it with a spoon, and then mashed it with a fork, and all was well. These are great. — jmelyn Jan 14, 2006

Root Beer Ham

(1 person found this helpful) Posted by ratherbeswimmin'

This was really, really easy! I mean--ham and root beer, and that's it. I used Henry Weinhardt's root beer, but I didn't cover the ham all the way (hey--it's expensive!). The ham still turned out flavorful and yummy. Thanks for the recipe! — jmelyn Sep 15, 2005

This was very good. I served it over rice, and added Worchestershire sauce and garlic salt. I'd recommend serving it with rice--the rice absorbed all of the tasty juice and was very yummy! Thanks for the recipe! — jmelyn May 17, 2005
