Is there any acceptable substitute for madeira? I have a salmon receipe that calls for 1/4 cup. The salmon will be baked and include mushrooms, parsley and cream so I would assume it would be best with a drier madeira. I'd appreciate your suggestions.

RECIPE: Fusilli with Garbanzo Beans
Very good and simple. I added bell peppers instead of spinach because I did not have it, and also a dash of curry powder to bring out more flavours. Super delish!

RECIPE: Becky's Grandma's Egg & Spinach Salad
Very good and so simple to make. I did adjust the dressing. It was a little sweet for us, using Splenda. I added an additional 1/4 cup of Safflower oil and another 1 tbls of cider vinegar and it was perfect for our taste. Thanks for sharing....

RECIPE: Spinach, Bacon, and Avocado Salad
We liked everything about this salad except that the dressing was too salty for us. I still think the recipe is worthy of 5 stars...I will simply cut back on the salt next time to suit our tastes.
