I hate using sweetened condensed; it's sickeningly sweet to me and overpowers the other flavors that are used in dessert.
Is there anything I can use as a substitute for sweetened condensed milk when a recipe calls for it? I found a recipe for pumpkin mochi that sounds perfect however...

RECIPE: Chocolate Whiskey Truffles
How easy and yummy is this !!!! Due to the hot, hot day I had to make this as a slice. It would be hopeless handling chocolate in this heat ! Using the ginger cookies is a great idea. I used OJ instead of whiskey as the children will be eating...
