Loved it. Very quick and easy to make, and the sauce was very tasty. I also added some jicama along with the broccoli, just because we had some — and it was a nice complement to the broccoli and sauce. We liked the recipe as posted, but I have a few changes I will try next time: (1) skip the water in step one and coat the beef with just cornstarch and garlic powder (2) use fresh ginger. Thanks!

Made this the other night and the fam devoured it. Very tasty and easy. I used lite soy sauce and that cut down on the salt. I will double the sauce next time. Oh, and I used frozen broccoli and it came out just fine. Also, next time I'll add green and red peppers. This would also be great with chicken.

This was great! It did take longer than 25 minutes, but #1: I am slow (I like to take my time, it's relaxing) and #2: I doubled the recipe. Doubling it served the 6 of us. I used fresh broccoli (Cutting up 8 cups of it was hilarious, I kept losing count of how many cups I'd cut!). Also, I used top sirloin steak rather than the round steak. Otherwise I followed the recipe exactly. I give this a 4 out of 5 because I felt the sauce was a little strong (but no one else said anything, so maybe it was just me). I think it would be better (that is, not as strong) if I added more veggies- either more broccoli or onion or add something completely new, like carrots (as someone else suggested). Thank you for sharing this recipe! I will be making this again!

This is a good, easy stir-fry dish. I also appreceiated the lack of expensive or hard-to-find ingredients. It is very kid friendly and great for those with a limited amount of time for dinner prep. I wouldn't recommend it for those who are use to a very "authentic" style of stir-fry dishes as the flavor tasted like it had been adapted to American taste buds.

this was really good. I subbed chicken for beef and added chili pepper flakes to the cornstarch water solution to make it a little spicy. I also added some fresh mushrooms.

Our family liked this one a lot, and I liked how simple it was to prepare. Even my kids, who don't like "sauces" liked the flavor of this dish. Next time, I'll add carrots to the mixture. This one only takes a short time to prepare, was ready very fast.

Very easy to throw together. I think the next time though, I'll use fresh garlic as I found that it needed just a wee bit of something.

This recipe made us a nice meal. I did add some red pepper flakes for heat and added 1 T sesame oil and fresh garlic along with the vegetables. Next time I think I will skip the water with meat mixture, cut down on the soy sauce and add another tablespoon of the sesame oil. Thanks Chris for sharing your recipe.

Excellent easy dish. Made this twice so far and will make it again and again! I followed the receipe exactly, but what was made this even better was that I added water chesnuts. Oh my goodness. I felt like it was better than what I get when I order take out. The meal was filling, but not heavy! Great recipe!
