This was a fantastic marinade! I used crushed chili flakes for the kick and it was delicious. The only alteration I did was to add a clove of crushed garlic instead of the minces. It still had a great garlic flavor without aggravating my intolerance for it. Will definately be making this one again and again.... Thank you!

Patch63, You can remove (please be kind) from the discription of this recipe! A nice first! I DID USED SKINLESS BUT THE CHICKEN DID HAVE BONES. I used frozen basil and had to put the cilantro on my pieces of cooked chicken. DH doesn`t like cilantro and I love it. Marinated over night. I did grill the chicken on lightly oiled foil. Grill on high 5 minutes turned and reduced the heat to low very low! For 40 minutes. The chicken was not over direct fire. It came out very tender. My DH had no idea what it was marinated in. First words out of his mouth was OHHHH AHMMMMMMMM this is good! Well between 3 of us it`s all GONE! Thanks for posting!

Okay, I don't care for dark meat chicken, so I did make this using boneless, skinless chicken breasts. This was so great, the marinade is amazing. I did add a splash of Sesame Oil, but otherwise followed it exactlty. I will definately be making this again..soon! Thank you for a definate keeper recipe...

This was wonderful. I omitted the brown sugar and used 1/2 olive oil and 1/2 sesame oil. Also, I baked it in the oven in the marinade. Even my son liked it, and he hates everything!

Excellent Thai chicken. I made half a recipe and marinated them for three hours. It was great, I served with Spicy Japanese Slaw. Excellent flavors and cooked easily under the broiler. Just be sure to line the pan with foil.

This was delicious!! I also marinated for 2 days. Only change I made was to omit the basil due to personal preferences. It turned out really well. Thanks so much for the submission.

Enjoyed this made with breast meat and sauteed on the stovetop. Didn't and won't change anything else. Very good, patch63.

Excellent recipe. Didn't change a thing and grilled the chicken on the BBQ. My friend was over for dinner and she just had to have the recipe. Thanks for sharing.

I made this recipe for dinner guests I had from France. Easy to marinate ahead, it was ready to cook when we came home from siightseeing. I cooked them in the oven on broiler pans, served wtih white rice and a salad, it went over very well. Love the cilantro flavor, will make often for the family.

I cooked my chicken in the oven. It was tender and well flavored from marinating overnight. But this is just my personal taste preference and I didn't really care for the taste. I gave this recipe 4 stars because it is so easy to prepare and very flavorful, but, I think maybe the cilantro was to overpowering for me.
