This Zucchini cobbler recipe was soooo good! It even fooled the kids, they thought it was apple cobbler.I substituted the butter with a low fat butter because my husband and I are watching our weight. I thought maybe the substitute would ruin the recipe, but we could not tell. This was our first recipe from this site and we are excited to have found it. Thanks!

I had a lot of zucchini given to me and needed something new to try. I took this to a ladies luncheon at church but did not tell anyone what it was. They all thought it was apple crisp. I even had my sons try it without telling them, they said they were tricked, but liked it anyway. I did tell the ladies after, everyone wanted the recipe It was great!!!!!!

If I could only give it more stars . . . This was excellent. All my zucchini haters swore it was apples or peaches, then I showed them all my peelings from zucchini and they couldn't believe how good zucchini could taste. I have finally found my recipe to use up all my zucchini from the garden. My kids were begging for 2nds and 3rds. Easy to make - I cooked my zucchini in the microwave in a 2qt mixing bowl filled with water for 15 min. then followed the rest of the recipe exactly. Will be making over and over and over again. Thanks for the great recipe!

I just made this dish, it is a keeper!! Tastes just like apple pie. I added an extra tsp cinnamon, used yellow cake mix and sprinkle brown sugar on top after drizzling the butter. 1/2 Cup butter is plenty. Thanks Teah for a great recipe, i'll be able to use up all the overgrown zucchs from my garden.

WOW! Great recipe to use up garden squash. It does taste like apple cobbler. I used yellow squash and a 1/2 of a regular yellow cake mix.

My significant other made this and I cannot believe how absolutely delicious it is! It tastes like the apple crisp they served in the school cafeteria when I was in school. I will definitely recommend this to anyone who is stumped on what to do with all the zucchini they harvest.

What do you do when you discover that monster zucchini hiding at the bottom of the patch? Make this! Most popular dessert at our 4th celebration.

This was pretty good - I used 1/2 a standard yellow cake mix - and this was still super sweet. I also wonder if I cooked the zucchini to be too tender? It all sort of fell apart and turned to mush when it was done cooking. I did have to toss in 2 chopped apples as I didn't have enough zucchini - so that helped with the consistency....

I made this and didn't tell anyone it wasn't apple cobbler. People ate it that first day, my dad had another piece the second day, but I ended up throwing most of it out because people didn't go for it. I think it tasted okay, but it didn't totally camoflage for me that it wasn't an apple dessert. There was something 'off' or 'weird' about it that always made me remember that it was zucchini (of course that could be my subconscious, because I DID know...). Anyway, I would try it again and give it another go, and it IS a nice way to use up lots of zucchini, but I would in no way substitute this for a REAL dessert that I was serving to guests.

WOW — I got a zucchini from a neighbor and tried this recipe and no one could believe that I didn't use apples!!!! I will definately be planting zucchini in my garden next year!!! A very easy recipe with great results. I added 1/4 tsp each of allspice and nutmeg, because we like the extra flavor. This one is definately a keeper!!! Thanks for posting, Teah!!
