This is a delicious recipe that is easy to prepare and great for summertime! The sauce is not as biting as you might think because wasabi is calmed when mixed with other ingredients, so I prepared a wasabe paste to serve on the plates as a garnish for those who like it hot. The sauce did need to be doubled to have enough to go around but was very tasty and creamy with a mild wasabe flavor. I would prepare this recipe again, and think it is a great addition to an Asian meal.

GREAT! For a stiffer sauce (more like mayo)I would suggest using just the rice wine vinegar to make the wasabi paste.

This wasabi sauce was just incredible. I even dipped my vegetables in it! I will definitely be making it again separately, as I imagine it would be a great accompaniment to a chicken or turkey sandwich. The tuna was a bit too "soy saucy" for me, so I'll probably just reduce the amount in the baste for next time. I don't think the tuna needs too much flavor since the wasabi sauce is so wonderful. Thank you for this recipe!

Absolutely delicious!!! DH and I had it for dinner last night and both of us loved this dish. Next time, I will probably double the wasabi sauce because I kept dipping each tuna bite in the reserve, it was so good. I didnt make any changes, other than to let the soy mixture sit on the tuna for about 10 minutes before grilling, and I used a stove-top grill pan instead of the BBQ, owing to the snowy weather. Can't wait to try this on the BBQ when the weather is nicer. I served this with Chia's Ginger Sesame Asparagus (#79216), which was a really nice compliment. Thanks for posting this keeper!

On the advice of a couple of the other reviewers we doubled the sauce. Actually, for just the two of us, one recipe would have been enough. Still it was good to dip our wedges in, and made a fine salad dressing too!. This was fabulous. I'm not much of a fish eater, but have a love of tuna-it's the expense that stops me eating more. This simple, quick recipe highlighted the flavour without over powering it. I'm sure we'll splurge and have it again soon!

This recipe is absolutely delicious. The wasabi isn't too overpowering, but it gives the tuna great flavor. Anybody who loves tuna and wasabi has to try this!!!!

The best grilled tuna I've ever had. I made extra sauce for dipping and got rave reviews.

I couldn't tell whether basting it really made a difference in the flavor, but the dipping sauce was delicious after I salted it and added a dash of soy. I gave it more kick by using both wasabi powder and mustard powder, as well as a touch of horseradish. I didn't mix the powder with water--just vinegar, and it didn't need to sit for 10 minutes.
