These were wonderful! I was pleasantly surprised by how fluffy they turned out; with as moist as they were I was expecting them to be heavier. I made a few cosmetic changes, per family preference...omitted the cloves and nutmeg and added a Tbsp of brown sugar (mmm, brown sugar and oats!); I was also short on eggs so I used 1 whole egg instead of 2 egg whites. The kids looked a bit skeptical when they saw the title, but gobbled up the whole batch (the three year old especially loved them and had thirds!!). I had mine with a bit of homemade blueberry jam on top...just like eating a muffin, warm from the oven, for breakfast ~ fantastic! Thanks so much!

These pancakes smell delicious when cooking! They had a really nice taste - I loved the blend of spices with the applesuce and oats. I did find that the texture was very sticky. I turned down the heat to med/low after a few pancakes because I found that the surface was burning, yet they were still difficult to flip since the insides were not cooked. I started to spread out the pancakes a little after I dropped the batter in the pan, making them thinner. Next time I may add a little extra flour to counter act the high mostisture content. Still, these are very good nutritious pancakes!! Thanks PaulaG!!

These were really tasty! I made up a double batch and put half of the dry ingredients in a jar for use next time, with the instructions on a label. I will cut back on the nutmeg a bit as I use fresh and it was a bit overpowering!

These were tasty, healthy breakfast option. I made a 1/2 recipe and got 4 very generous pancakes. It is a little bland, so I added some Splenda Brown Sugar Blend (NOTE: Add 1 TBL + 1 tsp for 1/2 recipe for PERFECT pancakes!) and Sugar Blend and it turned out perfectly. They are a bit sticky on the inside, but keep you filled for hours! I also added in a handful of blueberries to mine as well, soooo good!

Light as a feather, yummy pancakes. DH really liked these. I made them with Splenda in stead of sugar, used old fashioned oats, fresh grated nutmeg then made as stated. Next time I think I will omit the cloves, my personal preference. Served them with real maple syrup,YUM. Thanks Paula. for a real breakfast treat.

Well, these smelled divine while they were cooking, and tasted pretty good too! My husband said he would like to see how some raisins in them would be. They tend to be a little sticky even when completely cooked. Sweet enough that you don't need syrup!

I made substitutions to make it vegan, used brown sugar and little bit extra of it, and it worked out well. The person I shared it with said they could use a little salt, but I don't know. Also left out the cloves and used extra cinnamon.

I loved these delicious pancakes! They were so flavorful and filling. I ate mine plain and thought they were sweet enough. My kids enjoyed them with Cracker Barrel Fried Apples and I couldn't believe the oooh's and awe's they were giving! They want to have the same thing for breakfast tomorrow! This is a super healthy recipe and we all loved it! Thanks for sharing!
