Yum! This was absolutely delicious. I was skeptical about the bacon bits, but they made the salad taste soooo good! I blanched the broccoli for a few seconds before mixing up the salad and I used low fat mayo and it was perfect. Thanks!

This recipe has accompanied many a delicious meal in my home. From BBQ Ribs to Easter Dinner, we have never been disappointed. I used dried fruits found next to raisins at the grocery store, and sunflower seeds instead of walnuts. For color i have also used grape tomatoes. Thank you for sharing this phenomenal recipe!

My husband and I went ape over this. I used almonds and grapes instead and added tiny cubes of cheddar cheese. This will definitely be a staple for us.

This was utterly fabulous. At this time of the summer, everyone is tired of the usual coleslaw, potato salad, and macaroni salads that accompany a cookout. I made this today with rave reviews. I also blanched the broccoli, as someone else mentioned. I left out the onions, as the girls aren't big onion fans, and I used dried cranberries instead of the raisins. I wish I had doubled the recipe because in the end, we were fighting over the last scoopful!! Most definitely, this will be made again and again! Probably will make it again within the week. Thanks so much for this recipe!!!

This was a lovely salad. I used fresh bacon chopped and then fried then cooled. I also used fresh mandarins. I blanched the broccoli to bring out the vibrant green. I used a tablespoon of honey rather then the sugar. Everyone at my luncheon enjoyed this. Thanks

This was really great! I was kinda skeptical of the rasins and oranges...but they were really awesome. I had made this before without shredded cheese, but this version is great. I used low-fat mayo, mixed dried fruit and sunflowers instead of rasins and walnuts, as someone else suggested. This was awesome. I let it sit for a few hours before eating so the flavors meld and the broccoli softens a bit.

This is such a great salad. I took it to work and everyone wanted the recipe. You can vary the ingredients in many ways. I added cauliflower and used "Craisins" and sunflower seeds. Fantastic.

Great recipe! Simplicity lets the quality of the ingredients shine through. We use olive-oil mayonnaise, balsamic vinegar and freshly cooked bacon, then substitute slivered almonds for the walnuts and currants for the raisins. No mandarin oranges for us. Perfection, and even more so the next day! Thanks for sharing.

This tastes just like the salad that my friend makes, only she has no measurements for her ingredients. I prefer sunflower seeds instead of walnuts. Delicious however you make it. I am soooo happy for this recipe! Thank you!!!

I have always passed up this salad dish because I don't like raw broccoli at all. But I must say that I've tried this, and the broccoli takes on a pleasingly different texture with the marinade. It's delicious! Thanks for changing my mind about raw broccoli!
