This is one of my favorite recipes I have found on here. I make it all the time, but tonight I tried a new way. Last night I prepped all of the ingredients, with extra hot sauce (two tablespoons), but left out the shrimp and I put it all in my crockpot and put it in the fridge. In the morning I plugged it in and put in frozen chicken because we are big eaters. Two hours before we were going to eat I put the shrimp in the crockpot. It was absolutely amazing and took very little effort!!

This is the first time I have written a review, so you know this recipe has to be good! Instead of using 1 cup melted butter, try using 1/2 cup melted butter and 1/2 cup olive oil. I have even substituted a packet of "Butter Buds" butter flavored mix mixed with 1/2 cup hot water plus 1/2 cup olive oil instead of all butter - tastes great. Thanks for a wonderful recipe!

This was absolutely amazing. I served it to my nephew, someone who works for a seafood company that services the high end restaurant trade. He was blown away. So was I and my other guests. I followed it exactly and can\\\'t say enough about how good it is. Definitely company worthy and so easy. Serve it in large shallow soup bowls if you have them with plenty of the broth and loads of great bread on the side for dipping. Fabulous!

OMG this was delicious KC! I whipped this up for dinner tonight, and it was so simple to put together. I used large shelled shrimp. The sauce from this is absolute heaven, I think it's the lemon that just brings out just so much flavor. This is a winner, and a definate repeater, I served this with homemade crusty buns to soak up the sauce, and a side salad... what a fantastic meal! thank you so much for sharing!...Kittencal

This recipe was awesome! I only used one stick of butter (1/2 cup) and did not use the onions and the recipe was still yummy. Can't wait to make it again!
