I made this last week for my company. It was nice to be able to throw it together at night and be able to pop it in the oven the next morning. We did have left overs and they reheated well the day after.

This dish was made for a large group of people and we made two pans of it. Thank goodness we did. It disappeared so fast!!! What a great and EASY way to prepare French Toast. This was served along with Linda B's Ham & Cheese Souffle. Thanks so much for sharing this, Sarahsmom.

Thought I'd get my two cents in here to say, THANK YOU! Made this for a Sunday brunch with seven hungry college students and they LOVED it...so did I. I layered sliced bananas topped with a dusting of brown sugar in between the bread. I don't use white bread but since I was doubling thr recipe, I bought a loaf to use. I did leave the bread out of the package during the day as I feared it might be too mushy if it was not a bit dried out. This is a real keeper!

This was pretty good, and definitely an easy breakfast - how nice to just pop it in the oven in the morning and have the house fill with the smell of French toast baking! I used a bit more bread than suggested, probably about 8 cups, to completely coat the bottom of the pan and cream cheese. I also accidentally used 8 oz. of cream cheese, and next time I'll leave it out completely; it didn't seem to really meld well with the rest of the dish. I might follow another reviewer's suggestion of adding more cinnamon next time, just for an extra flavor boost. We ate this with lots of extra syrup drizzled on top. Overall, a pretty good dish!

This is a well written and easy to follow recipe. I halved it, but other than that I followed the directions. It made for a nice Sunday morning breakfast with no trouble at all. Next time I will add more cinnamon. Thanks for sharing your recipe sarahsmomi.

This was easy & delicious! Hubby thought it wasn't any easier but I think it's nice to have it ready the night before and then just pop in the oven and bake.

Excellent and easy. I made this for a crowd of hungry teenage boys and they loved it. I used low-fat cream cheese and added cinnamon. What a great way to use up leftover bread.
