THis is an outstanding salad! I make this for lots of summer potlucks. I have been using this recipe for a long time. When I first tasted Amish Macaroni Salad, my husband's aunt had brought some down from Maryland. I fell in love and had to find a recipe. I was so excited when I found it! The only thing I don't use is green peppers. Glad to see this recipe on here!

What a great recipe, thanks so much for posting! This tastes like my Mother-in-law's recipe that our family has been trying to duplicate for years. I used red pepper instead of green pepper, and topped with some shredded cheddar cheese. Delicious!

Charmed, I made this twice and it was just like a taste of home in the Amish country. The second time I made it I took it to a party and the bowl was empty in no time. It received raves from all. Wonderful!

Well, I certainly will be making this recipe often this summer! This is the best macaroni salad I've had! I did include the green peppers, and the taste was amazing! Praise from my extended family as well, thank you!!

Love it, make it at evey cook out. I usually use red onion and mayo, sometimes I don't add the green pepper or I add extra egg, but it is always a SUPER HUGE hit and VERY easy to throw together!!

OMG, I was looking over the recipes in my cook book and when I opened this one I saw that I had not rated it. Jeez! I made this years ago...I think for some kind of party. It was excellent, and it led me to start using the dressing on other types of pasta salads. I think used mayonaise, though, because I thought the tang of the miracle whip would be to strong. The end results of this pasta salad have always been great. Never tasting store bought, but almost as simple. Thank you for posting, and sorry it took me so long to review.

DELICIOUS! I did find that after it sat in the refrigerator, the pasta absorbed a lot of the dressing and it wasn't as creamy as I like. I just made up some more dressing, refrigerated it and added to the salad right before serving. I halved the recipe for a cookout for 6 people and there was plenty for us all and everyone went back for seconds, plus I sent some home with 2 people.

I hate to be the party pooper but this recipe was too sweet for me. I thought I would enjoy the sweetness but I found myself focusing on it. However, my mom thought it was good (after admitting she thought she wouldn't like it.) I probably wouldn't make this again but again it is probably because it is too sweet. I also don't have much experience with Miracle Whip. Though personally I think it might have been nice just mixing the ingredients with this and without adding the sugar, vinegar or mustard.
